Do we resign Komisarek this off season?

Say it will take a long term deal at 4 million a season. Let's get the popular opinion of the board?

Find that odd? That exact situation just happened to you with Streit.

He'll get a $6-7M contract from a crazy GM. We can't afford to match this.

At least tell us where you heard it from as opposed to antogonistic posts like that.

I'd sign him, but not to anything more than $4.5M.. I'd just offer that to Ohlund instead on a shorter term contract.

Komisarek should have already been signed in my opinion, earlier this year when he got injured,Bob had plenty of time to meet with him and agree on an extension. Now I think Komi would be crazy not to wait and see whats there for him on the open market

On sportsradio this morning. I'm not trying to antagonize you. I'm saying he's going to want a pay day the same way Streit did. It's hardly news to anyone.

I think we should if the price isn't near what people think he will get elsewhere (5, 6 million)

3-4, I think is fair.. this guy will be better, he's having a off year, and we have no one in our D who has his physical form.. Unless you plan on signing someone like him for cheaper, or for more experience.. re-sign him.

Streit had great offensive #,Komisarek doesn't and since his injury he's been awful. The Islanders have cap room but if they are crazy enough to give him more then 5 million a year then he can go play there

I said no, but obviously if it was a reasonable deal I would be open to it. I just cant accept the fact that we would be paying someone upwards of 4-4.5 million when they wont reach 20 points a year. Sure he is physical sometimes, but he is one guy who im just not sure about. For 3 million i'd do it no questions.

Komi and J-bo to the Isles, cuz everyone wants to go to the last place team in the league, where they draw 6000 fans per game...

If the demand is too high, let him walk. I love Komo but he's not one to overpay. Still, I truly think that he's re-sign with us before July 1st.

I'm not in the business of making stuff up to bug you. Not sure why you'd think that either.
Komisarek to the Islanders rumours have been around longer than Lecavalier to Montreal rumours.

I'd tell him to think about buying an orange road hockey ball and practice stickhandling once and a while in the offseason. The working out and yoga is great, but this guy really needs to improve his technical hockey skills. He's never going to be an elite defenseman if he continues to make junior league mistakes with the puck and constantly fire it into shinpads.
