This is so sad. I just saw him two months ago when he came to Campbell's. It's unbelievable. Games will never be the same. RIP Harry.

This is the most upsetting news ive heard in a very long time. I suddenly dont give a **** about the Flyers right now. My girlfriend and I were just talking last night how sad it would be when he retires and that games would never be the same. There is no way they can be anymore. My earliest childhood memories are of listening to Harry call games as I feel asleep. For Christmas this year i was lucky enough to get a baseball signed by him. He also write "It's outta here" on it.

Jules- great idea I would definately be down for that.

Wow. I was hoping it wouldn't turn into this. This is an incredible loss. The only thing you can say is at least he got to go out "on top" so to speak, having witnessed the Phils end their futility. Phillies baseball will never be the same.

Maybe it's the cop in me....but I think it would be really cool, fitting, show of solidarity, if we all had the SAME one. Give me a couple minutes and I'll do a couple up.

That's just my idea though, I'm no dictator..LOL

Damn damn damn damn damn...he was half the reason to watch the Phillies.

The team he loved got to win it before he went, though.

I think deep down we all knew he never was going to retire though.

He was a great broadcaster, and I listened to him a lot when I had the MLB audio package, before he moved to the TV full-time. He came back and did the 4th inning audio though.

Most of my memories of Kalas though are his Westwood One work, he used to call the Sunday games. As mentioned before he did a lot of work with the NFL (you can hear him on the Coors Light commercials). RIP.

Yeah, he would announce until his body forced him to stop.

Such a shame.

I cant believe hes gone :'( I mean I knew he was getting up there but that was so abrupt.

I cant imagine how hard it is for the guys calling the game right now. I wouldnt be able to go through with it.
