If we can win game 1 without Marky and have him back for game 2, the Bruins' morale is gonna plummet.

Last week, John Lu made me cry in front of my TV to me juping through the roof a couple days later. I'll believe things on Thursday night.

Well what they reported is closer to the Gainey answer than the John Lu report.

Well, again, we do not necessarily know that Lu didn't talk to Gainey individually or something. We're assuming he's paraphrasing that quotation.

Kind of rare that journalists have exclusive interviews with coaches after a practice and then only has 3words to report back.
Seeing as there was a PC, it's very likely he's just paraphrasing.

There's a large difference between an exclusive interview and getting a private follow-up question. Especially given he works for the "biggest" media outlet there.

I agree though, you're probably right. Just saying, we do not truly know.

Meh, if he makes it on time for the first Habs home game, it'll be ok.

If not, too little too late.

I am almost certain he will not be back for game 1. This means we need to play our ***** off to start the series. That win would be so huge. I really think the onus is going to be on the D...Komi in particular who, if he plays like super Komi (smart, in position, making good hits, not swiping at the puck or failing to get it out) will allow the whole D corps to be effective against the B's attack. Hammer also has to eliminate all brain farts and it wouldn't hurt if we saw some of his offensive talent with some accurate slappers as soon as he gets it from the left winger on the boards.

Game 2...again, depends on the result of game 1. Doubt Markov will be 100% (it's only 48 hrs later after all..these things aren't exact, you don't go from 50% to 100% with that kind of injury in 2 days). If game 1 looked bad, though, yeah I think Bob MIGHT bring him back.

Game 3 ...most likely scenario.

RDS is normally a pos station. Though, in the playoffs, you'll never get a clear answer. We'll only know if he's playing, or not when he steps on the ice, or doesn't.

I believe, the guy, the day after, was seen in the locker room, walking perfectly.. I wonder if it's not more a "concaution". (sp)

I think Markov will be back probably by game 3, and I would not be suprised to see Lang there aswell, the article says he's walking better, has increased his workout routine, I don't think you do that unless you realistically believe you may be back. hasn't skated yet though, wishful thinking maybe I don't know!!!

Is it possible that Markov suffered a concussion and can not doing anything for three weeks? After that if there is no more headache, fatigue then he is allowed to return to the game. This look more and more likely (still speculation on my part).
