It is one thing to not honor a contract that was mutually agreed upon, signed with the absence of pressure, and was done in a true free market. It is quite another to not honor a contract that was signed when the player was younger than 18, under intense pressure from management, and in the sketchy legal system of Russia.

My bad... sorry. I thought he got a bigger offer then that. If he left for that amount of cash, the reason of his departure might be the fact that he wasn't in love with the organisation. I'M JUST SPECULATING OVER HERE... DON'T MURDER ME FOR THIS !!!
The fact still remains that i'd take him on my team cause he's a exceptionnal talent. Let Gionta test the free agent market and give Radulov a 3-3.5M$ or even a 4M$ contract for 5 years.
$2 million tax free would be close to $4 million in North America. Radulov did leave for more money. The other guy was wrong.
Two Russians and a German = "The Russian Connection"?
Grabovski is born in Germany to Belarussian parents, he lived his whole life in Belarus and has Belarussian citizenship (he also plays for them in tournaments). Of course Belarus =/= Russia so your point stands.
Why did you bolt from the thread on the NHL board after I gave you an example of the NHL signing a player who already has a contract in the KHL?
You mean the thread about Swedish transfer arrangements that you tired to hijack and bring in your russian propoganda?
Once again when the KHL becomes a legit league I will have a conversation with you about legit player movement. Talking about the KHL and contracts is like talking to Hitler about other contries borders.

I still don't see why Radulov would want to come back. He gets paid more on the bottom line there than he would here and he gets to play closer to home. Yeah, it's sketchy to bounce on the final year of a deal but that happens from there to here so it's not the end of the world.
If I'm the Predators, I would take him back and trade him. Yes, you won't get a lot but you can't bring him back into that locker room with that group of guys. They won't be as forgiving regardless of whether he's right to do so or not.
Loyalty is an issue to an extent here. The organization has to have guys that want to be there. If they show they don't like Radulov did, you can't just let him walk out on your team and then let him back in because that sets a terrible precedence.

So your response to getting owned in another thread is "I don't have conversations anymore about illegitimate things blah blah blah"......then you also bring up Hitler.
For those of you who says he should rot in in Russia...
Really this opinion seems to be a vocal minority, and ironically not even from Nashville fans. Most people have a more even handed approach with it so you can't really say the NA crowd is hypocritical.
I love Radulov as a player, but do not know him as a person. I think his celebrations after each goal were awesome!! He brought a TON of excitement to the team, it was great! But that was brutal when he gave Arnott a concussion!! I was so mad about that, but I know he probably would not ever do that again.
I think he should come and play, but I imagine he will get traded because I do not think he would re sign with the preds after his one year is up. He will be heading probably Detroit, Toronto, New York Rangers, way hopefully for something useful, all will depend on how he plays, but I imagine he fetches a fair price.
I hope he comes back to the NHL. He's an awesome talent and I want to see him play over here. I don't agree with what he did. But he's certainly not the first player to do something like that. Also, that article was more that the coach would welcome him back and the players might not. It didn't offer anything that made me think he was actually coming back. Kind of disappointing.

No, that was the thread about that two Swedes signing in the KHL.
And look! Look how this troll MuscleBob hijacks into a thread about Swedes and starts offtoping about the KHL:

Oh, wait. That's your post. Mine was a response to yours:

2) Even if you think of a verbal agreement as an efficient one, one week before Radulov signed in the KHL, Tomas Mojzis signed with Minnesota while having a contract with no out-clauses with Sibir. Oh, I said this word. Every time I write "Mojzis" my opponents who were blaming the KHL for not respecting "agreements" just disappear. Please, don't disapear.
Edit: I probably shouldn't be bashing you, you are just a perfect example of a N.A. ordinary reader. This is what you've been told by your media. NHL=good, KHL=bad. You're like a 4th or 5th person here who's written about the KHL poaching Radulov despite having an agreement.
So how exactly did I hijack that thread if it were you who mentioned Radulov and the KHL first?
