Who does nashville pick at #11

I have got a wild hunch that however we pick will end up being very good! I have this feeling because we are picking at #11 slot. We have never done this before.
Our first ever draft pick was Legwand who wears 11. Now we are picking 11th overall (unless we win lottery which is doubtful) and it is our 11th draft as well. Coincidence??
I hope we lose the lottery just cuz of this crazy coincidence.
So who will we pick that will end up being awesome for us??
My guesses,

Nazem Kadri
Jacob Josefson
Peter Holland
Dmitri Kulikov
Jordan Schroeder
Ryan Ellis
Drew Shore

and because of an injury maybe if we are super lucky we could even have highly touted Jared Cowen slip to us at 11.

One thing is for sure, unless we trade our first rounder (which is unlikely in such a deep draft) we will draft one of the guys I mentioned.

I've seen a few Pred fans say they want that Schroeder kid.

So tell me about him, I've only heard a few things about him. Thanks.

He's fast, a wizard with the puck, and will score a hell of a lot of goals at this level. He's not big by any means, but he's still a great complement to Wilson with his speed, accurate shooting and ability to get open for a scoring play.

If he's there at 11th, I just cannot see Poile passing up on him.

We might take Kulikov or Holland if Schroeder is gone, but if Kulikov is gone, too, Poile will likely just trade down and hope he can get Holland a few picks later. I think Holland is a bit of a Ricci at 11th, but as you get closer to 20, he becomes a much better pick.

I'd like Schroeder, though I'm not as in love with him as WFME.

If he's not available, my wish list moves to Zac Kassian.

We may have to move up again this year. It would be nice to move up to around 7 or 8. With that said, I would hate to have to give up a second round pick to move up a few spots like we did last year....it seemed like massive overpayment then (even though I am pleased with the result....)

I would LOVE to have Schroeder.....

I'll pretty much scream if we take ANY defenseman in the first, but Ryan Ellis and I'm throwing myself off the Shelby Street Bridge.

Defenseman in the first pick even if by some miracle the Preds win the lottery. The defensive depth is hurting.

I would have no problem with Kulikov at 11 at all.

You draft the best player available, and we could use another defenseman. Our defensive prospect pool needs to be replenished, because in about 3-4 years, when Kulikov will be ready to make the jump to the NHL, we're going to be pretty thin on the blue line. Klein will likely be gone, Sulzer might be gone, and Suter will be closing in on UFA status.

If he's there, I would not be surprised or disappointed to see Poile take him. Besides, Kulikov at 11 likely means Schroeder is already gone.

Goodness gracious. If we were getting a defenseman at #11, I would rather have Simon Despres, honestly. I hope we can move up a little and get Brayden Schenn. That's who I really want the Preds to get, but I would be satisfied with Schroeder as well.

When you get outside the top ten, the difference between BPA is often times not all that great, at least within the first round.

And while I agree our defensive depth has thinned out, in the same amount of time you speak of, where does our offensive pool come in? Outside of Colin Wilson, what slam-dunk forward prospect do we have?

I thought that was obvious, but okay...

Step 1: Draft Kulikov at 11
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Successful forward corps!

Nashville has a boatload of picks this year and they have a good chance to trade or fill out their forward ranks after the 1st rounder.

with mid-range, project-to-2nd-or-3rd-line guys that we already have no lack of.

I think the bigger question is not who the Predators are going to pick, but will TSN skip over the pick and not interview him again this year??

So the Isles won the first overall pick, personally glad they won it and not the Avs or Yotes.

As for our pick yeah, how likely is it that Schroeder would be available at 11?

Schroeder just might be the guy. He'd be a nice succesor to Sullivan and has built in chemistry playing on the same line as Colin Wilson on U.S. international teams.

That's the bigger question? Honestly? Who cares if some dork from TSN interviews our pick?

Whining about the Canadian media makes us Nashville fans look exactly like that - whiners.

After putting together my mock draft... yeah, he's gone by 11. We'd have to trade up.

Jacob Josefson is probably the guy we'll get if we stand pat. And I have no problem with that at all.

I would like to jump up to number 6 or 7.

Tavares/Hedman go 1-2. Duchene looks like a lock to the Avs. At that point, you are looking at some star caliber players over the next 4 picks....pick your preference - MSP, Evander Kane, Brayden Schenn, Oliver Ekman-Larsson I think will all be huge talents. After those 7, I like Jordan Schroder and Jared Cowen. I would love to get my hands on one of the latter 6......Make it happen Poile! If it costs us a high draft pick, so be it. This team needs star talent, especially with the way we look in net and on the blueline......

If we could get up to 6 or 7, a realistic shot at MSP or Evander Kane comes into play. I'd love to have either.

That said, i wouldn't mind sitting at 11, taking Schroeder, and then hoping we can snag a high-risk\high-reward guy like Andrei Kuchin that could fall into the second.
