I'm not scared of controversy.

Besides, I will be going for the BPA. Not for the BFPA.

1-New York Islanders

First of all we would like to congratulate the Montreal Canadiens for winning the Stanley Cup and also thank them for a great week spent here in this beautiful city.

The New York Islanders are proud to select with the 1st overall pick in the 2009 draft from the London Knights John Tavares

We really believe John is going to put this franchise back on the right track and we couldn't be more excited about this pick

Guys, don't forget. Whoever picks needs to send a PM to the guy that picks immediately after him to say that it's his turn.

Thanks!

The Tampa Bay Lightning would like to thanks the Montreal Canadiens organization for organizing this draft, especially habsfan18. They would also like to congradulates the Stanley cup winners, the Columbus Blue Jackets. We have 2 major announcement today; first, the Tampa Bay Lightning made a trade that just happened sending C. Vincent Lecavalier to Montreal for Andrei Kostitsyn, Sergei Kostitsyn, Tomas Plekanec, David Fisher and MTL 1st round pick in 2010.

With the second overall pick the Tampa Bay Lightning are proud to select young defensman Victor Hedman, from the famous village of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden and playing for MODO. We feel that the lightning are looking for a quaterback, a superstar defensman for a while and that Hedman will be that guy.

Tampa Bay's management doesn't take responsiblity for previous management's moves, but would definately like to have Boyle still on their team.

But we feel that Hedman will be a superior player.

The Atlanta Thrashers select fourth overall, from the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League, Matt Duchene.

That was fun.

By the way, now that Montreal has won the Cup what's the deal with the conditional picks Atlanta sent over in the Schneider deal.

Los Angeles Kings organization would like to thank the city of Montreal and their fans for their hospitality during the week end and also congratulate them and the Canadiens organization for the wonderful season and 25th stanley cup championnish during their great 100th year aniversary. Our head scouting directour will now make our pick.

The Los Angeles Kings are proud and pleased to select from the Western Hockey League, Vancouver Giants Center Evander Kane.

''We believe he is a best player available and he will be a great player to continue to build our franchise. We selected really good defencemans and goalies prospect recently so adding Kane here was key for the progression of the team''

I will PM the next GM on the clock.

With the 6th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, the Phoenix Coyotes are pleased and proud to select, from Spokane of the Western Hockey League..defenseman Jared Cowen.

"We are positive that Jared will fully recover from his injury and he will still be as effective as he was before. We jumped at the chance to add a big, physical defender to our group of prospects and we feel he'll solidify our defense corps for years to come. Jared has the potential to be a top-end defenseman for us down the road."

Toronto is on the clock, I'll PM him.

With the 7th overall pick, the Toronto Maple Leafs proud to select, from Brandon of the Western Hockey League and brother of Luke, Brayden Schenn.

"He plays a complete game. High skill set and loves physical play. Killer wrist shot, great play making ability, good two way game, and hits like a train."

PMed Dallas.

The Dallas Stars would also like to thank Montréal for that punk they gave us.

Now, we are also very proud to select, from the University of Minnesota, Jordan Schroeder.

Schroeder's offensive attributes are off the chart. Great vision, probably the best in the whole draft, great playmaker and a elite wrister. Size may be an issue for some, though we don't see it. Even then, he'll be a perfect complement to some of our big body presences in Neal and Morrow.
