Let's initiate the tempo right off the bat instead of waiting for the Bruins to take the play to us and responding.
I wouldnt count on it, the Bruins will probably dictate the first 10 mins and probably score the first goal like we did last year. However much like the Rangers last night it will be important to answer back.
i know losing markov is a gigantic blow, but those d combos look better than anything we've put together since cube went down, at least as far as playoff hockey is concerned.
not one inexperienced player, each pairing has an offensive minded player who can make the first pass, and thank god we have hamr to cover up for brise's requisite one huge mistake per game. other than that we are at least icing a group who won't make mistakes, which is all dmen really need to do.
i hope we see hamr-schneids on the 1st pp and gorges-brise on the 2nd.
the loss of markov's offense can be more than compensated by our offense, which is amongst the quickest/most skilled, when they are on their A game. we know our top line is there, as is the lappy-lats line, we just need plekanec and andrei to step up, higgins and metro have turned into a tremendous shutdown pair.
when I lived at home I used to watch Habs games (he put a CH jersey on me when i stepped out of the womb) and have shots whenever we would score or make a huge save, I'll continue that tonight, hopefully I'll be drunk by the time we're done!
