I'd rather go for Vokoun even if he is more expensive

We would be fine if they kept Vaananen and re-signed him, kept him with Timonen and than made Coburn and Parent the 2nd pairing

I would accept the variation on #2 that the Atlanta board likes:

Lupul and a 3rd/4th for Pavelec and a 2nd. I think I'd insist on losing the 4th rather than the 3rd.

He doesn't have to finish the season with a team to be signed as an UFA

We all know Sbisa has done well, and Ive heard great things about Ratchuk. Who is the fast one who does the end to end rushes? Is that Ratchuk? Sorry I dont pay as much attention to our prospects as I should.

Yeah that's Ratchuk, he's piss poor defensively though

carle and lupul

To Atlanta:
Carle (Should put up 8 goals 25 assists on the second pairing)

To Philadelphia:
Pavelec

--------------------------------------------OR-----------------------------------

To Atlanta:
Lupul
Becomes one of Atlanta's top wingers with a reasonable cap hit. (4.25 over 4 years)
30 goals 35 assists playing on Atlanta's first line, along with 1st unit powerplay time

To Philadelphia:
Pavelec

2nd round pick '09
Or
2nd and 3rd round picks in '10

-------------------------------------OR------------------------------------------

To Philadelphia:

Pavelec
4th round pick '10

To Atlanta:

Jones (5 goals 20 assists when healthy, could play secod pairing if healthy)
Nodl ( Decent prospect, 3rd line potential)
3rd round '10
Atlanta will not take these 2 contracts. Lupul was offfered around. There were no takers. Bad contracts to mediocre players.

I would think it wouldn't be wise to be picky.
