Is Theo confirmed to be the goalie?

No nothing's official yet.

Quote:
Bruce Boudreau implied, hinted and insinuated that Jose Theodore will be in goal Saturday afternoon when the Washington Capitals host the New York Rangers in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.

The only thing the coach didn't do is say it outright.

"You'll see it in the warmup," Boudreau said. "But look at me. It's not a big surprise. Theo's our No. 1 goalie."

So it's safe to assume Theodore is playing, right?

"It's never safe," Boudreau replied, "to assume anything."

This will be a HUGE game for the series. Going into MSG down 0-2 is lethal.

He probably will be. However, if the Rangers win tomorrow, Simeon will be in goal on Monday, guarnteed.

Varlamov would probably get the nod before Simeon.

Very excited for this game. Screw the split, let's get both.

I sincerely hope the Refs let the players play tomorrow. But, being on NBC, I doubt it.

I'm hoping they can make it a bit more tolerable for me to watch. Those early games kill me. I'll be up for a grand total of two-and-a-half hours before the game starts.

Please win, Rangers.

Do any of the other playoff series have two day gaps like this one?

Yes. Detroit and Columbus, for example, have two days off between games two and three.

Also the San Jose - Anaheim series. They don't play again until Sunday.

Let's Go Rangers!!!! Play a smart game and win each period. Try to keep AO in check and don't give their point men room on the PP. In Hank I trust. Do work, get the job done, bring it back home....

EDIT: Why can't I post a video????

I've been watching hockey for over 50 years.

Jose "Three-or-more" is without question the funniest nickname I have ever heard hung on a player.
