The Rangers need to play like they're the team down 1-0 in the series.

I'm really not in the mood for Mike Milbury today. He makes one smartass remark and I'm shutting off the t.v and listening on the radio.

Just mute the TV so all you have is the visual.

Here's Caps coach Bruce Boudreau this AM: "They won the game and the only thing he did was cry about the two [areas] we won -- faceoffs and a penalty. He's playing the whole game, and it's pretty lame, quite frankly."

"He's talking about Nicky Backstrom, who was 48 percent. He was one of the worst centermen the first half of the year in faceoffs altogether. We went in and I talked to the league and the league said they are perfectly legal. So he's just crying right now. It's a dumb thing to cry about. We're told not to do this, but he's trying to play the gamesmanship and get the referees on their side. ...Give us a break."

He said there would be no lineup changes other than Pothier, so that means, Jose Theodore starts and Donald Brashear sits again...

This guy has irked me since he got the job in Washington. This just puts it over the top. I'd like Torts to remind him why he's been an AHL coach his whole career.

Caps are kinda playing out as arrogant opponents eh?

Ovechikin and his win or lose Bravado, Mike Green calling the Rangers lucky, Bruce calling Torts lame....

these guys know Poti carries a purse right?

Sad thing is Tortorella is so right withthe faceoff thing. It's something I noticed in the first game as well. The Capital player taking the draw is always standing well ahead of the designated foot area, and it looks like they're standing over the dot itself.

Eesh, I dunno how I feel about this.....

Guess we'll just have to see how it plays out. If we can get to the kid early, that'd be great.

Wow... I guess all that talk about Theo being their #1 was just trying to get the Rangers off track and then they throw the kid at us. We need to get good shots on net early, crash the net and bang away at the rebounds. Let's Go Rangers!!!!

Varlamov is a very good young goalie and will be a great #1 for Washington in a year or two. Here's to hoping the pressure is too much for him.

If he does well, we could be in trouble. But if we can somehow pull out this game, then what do they do? Go back to Theodore?

Atlanta did the same thing 2 years ago with Lehtonen and Hedberg, and we all know how that turned out.

There really isn't that much pressure on him. If he fails the blame be directed at #1 - Boudreau and #2 - Theodore for sucking in game one and forcing this decision
