I thought the league would let him get away with it. But I guess the score, the time left in the game, and the deed all put together was too much to pass up.
I dont think this changes anything though. The Bruins wont miss a beat without him. Chara and Savard on the other hand...
Considering that Carcillo got 1 game for his bonehead play I'd say this is a fair call from the NHL...Hit opposing players in the head area and you will get suspended for your actions..
It's not really crying. I know you saw what I posted earlier today. All I'm saying is inconsistent discipline is bad for the NHL. I shouldn't have to only say that on my board. As hockey fans we should all be concerned about that.
Campbell even said it wasn't clear that if it was a cross check.
This is getting ridiculous. We are celebrating the suspension of a 20 year old and think it's THE turning point? It will take way more than Lucic's suspension to turn this thing around. And if we are at that point, it's a little sad to see.
Anyway, if it helps that team so be it....But when you're wondering how come the refs are not consistant, well clearly it starts from higher.
Alright I guess my posts are being deleted for trolling. I was just trying to understand this whole thing from your point of you. Sorry for crossing the line.

I agree that the NHL is inconsistent. But whatever you guys are *****ing and moaning about can easily be negated by Lucic's stupidity when he took down Komisarek the last time they met in the regular season. You cannot argue that a slash to the back of the leg and then slamming him down to the ice by the head is not suspendable.
I actually LIKE Campbell explanation. It makes the Bruins look even more stupid by sending in that video...

Exactly, he has been a none factor in this series so far... the only thing good about his suspension is that I won't see his ugly face and stupid fan boys for one game...
Also, it could speed up Markov's recovery since he won't have to look behind his back for that dirty steamroller if he plays next game... but that doesn't look good.

Tom did not hit anyone with an elbow = no suspension,
komosarek was face washing and there was no evidence he did an eye gouge = no suspension
face washes = playoffs.
Lucic delivered a blow to lappy's head = suspension.

If Komisarek keeps doing it and guys at the end of his glove keeps getting the face Hunwick had, he deserve to be suspended. Maybe not on this sequence, but he keeps doing it and guys keeps getting out of the scrums with Hunwick's face....it's suspension worthy in my books. The rest wasn't. I still can't get out of my head the guy who said that what Lapierre did was like the Hunter/Turgeon incident...
