now if only they can also suspend:

Chara
Savard
Kessel
Wideman
Ryder

Seriously, it wont make a difference if the habs play like unmotivated sissies, which is what game 2 was.

Lucic is there 5th best player, if even at that.

I dont condone what he did, BUT i dont see this as a rallying point for the habs.

So if we win tomorrow this means Lucic means more to the Bruins than Markov to us?

Another reason for the Bruins to regroup and play another strong game.. I dont care if Lucic is there or not, we have to play our game and deserve the win..

Lucic got a 1 game suspension that he deserved for his headshot...Time to move on to something else..It is not like they really need him anyway...With or without Lucic the Bruins will win this series anyhow so it will have very little effect on the outcome.....

It doesn't change much for us. He's pretty much a non-factor in this series. I guess it'll just make less stupidity on the ice.

It might make a difference. Remember our season finale agaisnt the Bruins? They collapsed after Lucic got thrown out for most of the 2nd period. He messes with the heads of a lot of our players and is their main physical forwards (they don't have many... seeing their reputation you'd think they wouldn't be 6 feet tall on average as is the case right now). Without him our soft D is less vulnerable.

This entire league is a joke when it comes to punishment. Insult someones girlfriend, get 7 games. Take someone's head off.. you get a warning.

I'm really getting tired of it all.

So great. Instead of losing in 4 we'll lose in 5 then 'cause he is coming back. If that's what we need, we're softer than I thought we would.

Seriously, for Boston to lose a thoroughly overrated player who's little more than a glorified goon/cheap shot artist is unlikely to make much difference.

is Julien getting fined as well? I know Stevens got fined, so i think Julien should also be fined for sending out a goon in the last 5 minutes of a blowout game.

It's people like you who give the Habs fan base a bad name. Goon? You've GOT to be kidding me...

He's still an important part of their team, if it helps our team win then all the better, we need all the breaks we can get. Lets say tommorow is a win and Markov comes back for the other game, don't you agree we can possibly turn the series around?

Lucic is a goon. He's a goon who's better than most goons at hockey, but let's not pretend he's some sort of scoring star.

Lets not get out of control here. Take the suspension and move on. IMO Juien isn't trying to stir **** by send Lucy out there, just playing his lines.

I lol'ed but the sad thing is that it's so true...

Now habs players have to watch out. The smallest infraction will be suspendable from now on...

All it takes is one win to make a difference in this teams confidence and spirit. If Lucic is that much of an importance to Boston against us, than I hope we take all advantage and get the W. Things could easily change, atleast that is what my optomistic mind is telling me.

He may do goon-like things, but he'll NEVER be considered as a goon. There's no way you can say that he even remotely compares to Carcillo in the NHL's eyes.

He's not a goon, but he certainly acts like one.

What the NHL thinks of him affects the penalty he gets for his cheap shots, unfortunately, but it doesn't change what he actually is.

The Bruins have really good PR. Unlike some teams I could name...

I dont see this making a huge impact on the ice, because as someone said, they can just insert Wheeler into his place.

However, psychologically, i think this will help us out tremendously. The kid is obviously in the habs heads. It will be a boost (as sad as that is) not having him in the lineup.

I dont know how far that boost will get us though.
