As you can see not much to choose from. Jay Feaster is probably the best - but he doesn't speak French and he didn't play for the Canadiens. Ditto for Timmins

Risebrough could be a decent replacement. Jay Feaster has won a cup just like BG.

And Jay Feaster majorly ****ed up in Tampa after he won that Cup. He's pretty questionable. Who the **** lets Khabibulin leave and replaces him with Marc Denis

Since 21 year old Carey Price as been deemed a bust by so many here he will pull a Garth Snow,retire and start his new career as the new Habs GM since he as no future as an NHL goalie according to some here.....
A great GM makes the difference ... take it from a bruins fan who had to endure some pretty horrible GMs in recent years that ruined any chances of winning for quite some years.
Our new guy has things going right and have also caused the owners to have different attitudes. We are a franchise reborn.
I can see Montreal fixing their ills, not sure about Gainey as I know not enough about every detail of his dealings. I do know price is a world class goaltender that should have been in the minors for a spell before being thrown into the limelight in the NHL Montreal hockey mecca. That was a mistake honestly.
I hope they haven't ruined his confidence.
We have Tuuka Rask in the minors who is a fine goaltender and will be our future when Tim Thomas is done. he is being seasoned properly in the AHL and not rushed.

Gainey should have done that with Price imo.

Well, it would give time so Rask can be the second violin of this team, and then overthrow TT as the first one. A 4-year contract doesn't mean TT has to be the number-1 goalie all 4 years.
It's not like Rask has to become the number 1 goaler of his team the first year he step on.
A new GM is the LAST thing on my wish list. Blame him all you want, Gainey's done a good job with the Habs and will comtinue to do so next season.
