I am finding the team's play is making me grumpy, even after the game is done.

Anyone? Any other people admit they take this team a little too seriously for their own health at times? Maybe we need a support group.

Honestly, the banter between Habs and B's fans has helped me recover.

Hmm I went through the frustration in december when I knew the team stunk at the core.

I'm doing fine now tho losing to boston is never fun.

Nop. I'll get worked up for like 5-10 minutes, then I shrug it off.

I wish we had more stuff to talk smack with.

It's been pretty much all empty words from our side.

Just read their smack with a Boston accent. It makes it all seem stupid.

Not really grumpy, but anyone else notice absolutely no buzz what's so ever about the playoffs in the city?

More like frustration for a bit. But in the end, its just a game that we have no control over, so there really is no point getting worked up about it for long periods of time.

I think that for once, there is actually low/no expectations on this series. Usually we expect a cup. With everything thats happened this year, I think most people seem to expect a loss.

Nope. I'l get pissed off on this message board while talking with Bruins fans, but other than that, I'm just fine. I barely care outside of HFBoards. I was way more frustrated during the season while I had high expectations for this season. Now, I'm getting used to their abysmal play and my expectations are low, which mean, I don't get moody

Yes but so did we couple of years back against other teams like Carolina,Tampa,Boston couple of times, but there was so much buzz in the city, now the flags for the cars are like given away for free and people aren't even putting them up,very strange I wonder if all this media crap involving the players just didn't take out the interest of certain fans

Agreed.

And why should it affect you much anyway, it's just a game?

A pair of wins in Montreal would change that.

People are bandwagoners.

Did anyone see the St.Louis crowd yesterday?

Unbelievable crowd support for a team down 0 - 2 like the Habs!

I'd blame the players for playing like crap perhaps, instead of blaming the media or the fans. Like others mentioned, it's the expectations. Habs fans are patient, but there is a limit for the more fickle ones, so they aren't interested in this year...

Heck, I wish we didn't suffer as many injuries as we did this year, I wish the Kostitsyns played with more passion, I wish Plekanec didn't play like a girl, I wish we had more secondary scoring, I wish Saku Koivu would take some blame once in awhile rather then Kovalev, I wish people wouldn't knock Carey Price so much (he is 21) I wish Laraque didn't have a code, I wish Markov was healthy, I wish we never got rid of Michael Ryder, I wish we never got rid of Mark Streit, and as sad as it is to say, I wish we never traded Mike Ribeiro, I'd sooner have him at 2nd line center then Pleks. It has been a year that has pissed me off but I still love my Habs and hopefully they can win at home tonight. It will be an interesting off season whether they win the cup or not, Mr. Gainey has a clean view from the bench of who wants to play hockey and who doesn't.

i havent missed a game all season, all 3 periods. I turned the TV off after two periods on the last game. So yes im frustrated and games like that have ****ed the rest of my day up.

there is nothing worst then lack of heart. And this team has shown plenty of that all season. Indirectly that has ruined many days this past season.

In answer to the original question, yes.

As someone else mentioned, this feeling has been percolating for a long time, so I'm working through denial and anger to extra anger and gnawing rage and bitterness.

My real fear is that the team will go out with a whimper.

I smashed one of my end tables like the local tae kwon do instructor after the Bruins 2nd goal Saturday. P. O. S Ikea furniture.

Today being 4/20- that could be helpful... however I could also be asleep by the 3rd period.

Secrets to keeping your sanity:

Have absolutely no expectations.......have a back of channel ready in case things go wrong.......you have no control, you can only sit back and let it unfold....remain calm....if you can't keep remote control far away.....

keep it in respective....only one team can actually win out of 30...nice weather is coming you can enjoy it......be well rounded, hockey is just hockey....they can try again next year....if they win they do all the work you are just a fan.

People have agonized over sports for a 100 years and you always get over it....remember BACK UP PLAN

it's a silly made up day... not unlike most "special days" on the calendar.

A day for people who smoke cannabis.

That's crucial to remember.

All that is wanted at this point is for the team to put up a fight... and to limit the dumb stuff like lazy penalties, soft goals, giveaways, etc.
