I wouldn't be surprised if he needed surgery during the off season.

Even though the Habs have many D prospects, none can replace Komisarek's usual physical play.

Our D without Komi = very, very soff, as Therrien would say...
Yeah, he's hurting because he hasn't been playing with Markov. Maybe he's only looked as good as he has because of his partner?

Desagree, Komi had a bad season just like the whole team but he still is an important part of the futur of this team and Gainey knows it pretty well.. If Komi wanna stay, Gainey will pay him what he could get on the market.. I still think he will get 5 millions.. Then, sign Beaucher at 5 millions per year as well..

Markov Komisarek

Beauchemin Subban

Hamrlik Gorges\OByrne

I expect Obyrne or Gorges to be packaged this summer for you know who..

Gainey should have at least negotiated with his agent during the season. He better get him signed before July 1 so we dont have to go through the whole souray ordeal where the habs overpaid for hamrlik out of necessity

I have a bad feeling that the isles are gonna blow komisarek`s socks off with a crazy offer, they certainly have the cap space to do it.

Well after a week...84% want Komi resigned. The numbers are a bit of a debate though.

I would not give him a dime more than 4 million, but agree the Islanders will give him more. Should have redone the poll at 5 million a season. Which he will probably get on the open market. I kind of hope Komi leaves, think he is overreated

Did Komisarek have a poor year? Yes.

Can Montreal afford let him walk for no return, creating another hole in an already-porous blueline? Absolutely not.

I agree with this....

His value is 3.5 million... but since he will get more on the open market, in order to keep him I would offer 4 million over 5 years... if he doesn't sign let him walk

If he wants something ridiculous, like 5 million, then there is no way we can keep him. Nor do I want him if he wants that much. He had a terrible year. 3.5 million or nothing.

It always was about how much he'd be asking. And it's still that for me. Difference is that my max is probably lower now...

Gainey's bizarre non-negotiating strategy isn't a great one.

If he didn't have this strategy, Komo would have been re-signed for 5 million before this season. We should be thanking Gainey if anything.

I'd resign him but I don't think he's worth as much as some others suggest.

When he isn't paired with Markov, he doesn't look nearly as good. Even then, he didn't exactly have his best year.

According to the Moose, Komisarek is gone!

He didnt say why or anything but seemed really sure of what he said..

To me it would be a desaster, while he didnt have a good season (like the whole team), this guy can be pretty dominant physically and defensively when he is on his game, I thought he was pretty solid overall in that serie as well, losing our 7th overall pick in 2001 would be a big step back for the org. IMO, He has what it takes to rebound from that season and be a key player for the years to come..

PLZ tell me he is staying..

The Moose is an idiot. He said: 'Its too early to tell whether we offer a contract to Stewart and D'agostini'

Edit: Ohhh, forgot about Morissette. Seriously, everyone is named moose these days.

Kind of off the subject, but did anyone see Keith Jones' verbal assault on Komo the other night? What a joke.

Everybody quick, look under the tables at Buenanotte, he's hiding somewhere!
