Congrats Drapes!

I wanted to congratulate Kris Draper (and the rest of Team Canada) on their win. Drapes represented his country (and in my mind, the Wings) very well. He made a nice pass to set up Canada's second goal against the Czechs and then added one himself. He was constantly moving and played awesome defense.

Great job, Drapes!

Draper definitely established himself as a big-time player after his play in the World Cup. Us in Detroit knew what he brought to the table but now on an international stage, he proved he belonged on that talented Team Canada roster.

I would've liked to see Maltby play in a game but who would you have scratched from that lineup to make room?

The best return on one dollar (US or Cdn.?) in the history of the NHL.

The DDT line was great and all three guys are recieving large praise in Canada for the role they played in the tournament.... As they should! Individually Draper has had a huge year.

Great to see Draper prove to a lot of people that he was a worthy choice for Team Canada. He had something like 4 points, one less than Lemieux.

Credit to Thornton and Doan too. They played more of a checking role, something they don't do for Boston and Phoenix.

Kris, your stock went up in value expotentially. I'm proud of you for proving you were, and are, the deserving winner of the Selkie.

Now, if you could only play ...

By the way, Malts, even though you didn't get to play, we're still proud of you. I'm proud of all our guys who played...Kris, Kirk, Cheli, Tomas (he was better than a lot of people expected him to be), Nick, Henrik, Jiri and Pavel. Good job, guys.
