World Championships?

Which Stars players are we going to see suit up for the WC's this year?

Off the top of my head, I see Turco, Ribeiro, Richards, Niskanen, Brunnstrom, maybe even Neal or Stephan playing for their respective countries.

I'm hoping Morrow sits out, though, wouldn't want him re-aggravating his injury, though it'd be cool to see him suit up again before the offseason.

Richards is in the same boat as Morrow. With 2 injured hands, I'd rather he take it easy.

Eriksson would make the Swedish squad over Brunnstrom (not saying he won’t though), and I think I saw a Swedish article that said Wandell was giving up an opportunity for the national team by coming to Dallas. With them now obviously out, maybe he could still make the squad. Plus, Grossman seems like a possibility. I saw a few fans in the Swedish forum that even said Joel Lundqvist might make the team. To say the least, Dallas could be well represented on the Swedish team.

According to Heika, Modano will not play for the US.

EDIT: I think Andrew Hutchinson played for the US recently.

Cool.

Thought maybe Brunnstrom would get a look, but I guess there's no more room, lol. Or he might've turned down an offer.

According to Heika's blog from after tonight's game:
"Loui Eriksson and Nicklas Grossman are supposed to play for Team Sweden in the World Championships. Matt Niskanen is supposed to play for Team USA.

Ott and James Neal could be in the mix for Team Canada.

Mark Fistric will join Manitoba for the AHL playoffs.

Brenden Morrow said he has shut down his skating for now and will pick it up later. He said the knee needs a little rest."
