Koivu's interview was the highlight of my night. Close second was the parting shot of Youppi dancing down the hallway.

Jesus...

Um... Hire a GM that is a Seer. Duh.

We can also hire William Wallace as coach; I hear he's a good motivator.

I think Kovalev will stay. nobody has ever been able to motivate Kovy like Gainey. Kovy really responds to BG. there is a clear mutual respect between the two of them.

Hopefully, both Tanguay and Komisarek sign, as does Koivu. I'm not ready to give up on the Kostitsyns yet especially Andrei and especially if we don't resign Kovy. We need some scoring depth.

If we can trade Sergei in a package for a defenceman I'd go for it. There's also that "BG will make a big trade at the draft" rumour that's been hanging around since the trade deadline.

#1 Need - Defence
#2 Need - Improvement at centre (Lang could have been such a big help to us in this series - do we resign him?

It will be an interesting offseason anyway.

I could care less for Sergei (yeah, even if I defended him a lot in the beginning of the season) however his brother is showing great promise and our only potential 30-35 goal scorer in the system so he's got to stay.

Back on topic: SAKU
If only all the team had your heart.
I hope he's back, and Tanguay, Kovy and especially Komi too.

If anybody is going to burn us after we trade them/they sign somewhere else, it's the Kostitsyns. It's only their second full seasons in the league and we're so quick to ditch them?

Unfortunately I'm afraid it'll be a Ribeiro-like situation, where they'll never reach their full potential as long as they're on the Habs.

I went to the casino a week ago. I played roulette and chose #11 twice out of 10 tries. I won both times, I left with 800$. Just figured I should throw that out there.

The shot of Youppi means so much more with Ron MacLean going on about how he is an unrestricted fur agent this summer.

LET THEM GO!!! They will never be great playoff players, just players that can perform in the regular season, send them to the KHL.

Ribeiro was called a playoff choker when he was here. That was before he put up 17 points in 18 games with Dallas last year.

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

when i was watching rds i saw him look at the crowd...perhaps its a "final" goodbye...either that or he's been thinking about staying and he looked up thinking it was the right decision...

"there is no reason for me to leave" is what he said.
However, that was followed by a "but......." and then a generic politically correct comment about how he hasn't made any decisions yet etc..

There was speculation a couple months back that Saku already had a contract in agreement. I really want a full season of Tanguay-Koivu-Kovy and let them build on their great production they had a the end of this season. Plus, a real head coach (please) right from the start.

Such a big fiasco and distractions this year, glad its behind us. If we look at our situation objective, we have alot of good things to look forward to and having a disappointing end like this will give everyone invaluable experience for next year.
