Looked like Komo was taking out some frustrations. Good to see that someone was showing some emotion and was happy to see it. Not much a fight, don't think Komo would win if it was anyway.

Honestly, not a big fan of goonery. I wish the refs would have just kicked him and Lucic from the game. Let the skilled players play!

That leaves us with like 2-3 players

Lucic is so afraid that one day he'll get his ass kicked that every time somebody is going after him, he drops and punches first or hit in the face or behind the head with sticks or gloves. What an *******. One day he'll pay.

Why Lucic? Komisarek rang the bell, Lucic answered the door. There is absolutely nothing bad you can say about Lucic's performance tonight. No gooning what so ever.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that Steward had like 8 fights in 8 straight games (might be exaggerating) but not one in these series?

Komisarek took one shot to the jaw and it was over. I hope he goes and signs with the Islanders the bum that he is.

The Islanders have a worse future than Montreal. Their arena sucks, their fanbase is abysmal, their owner and GM are CRAZY. If he signs in Long Island, then it just shows he's all about the $$, not about winning. Like Streit.

Komi was terrible in the fight and then cheap shotted Lucic by sticking him in the face.

An embarrasment to the team.

Komi should have worried about his defensive play before trying to hit Lucic all game long. Plus, its a fact that he cant be Lucic in a fight, I dont know why he insists on it. Anyway, its done now so it doesnt matter.

i dont think any players really want to fight because it could give the other team a momentum shift, thats why we see more "scrums" and no "fights"

Lucic probably didn't think there was a chance the habs could come back... Even if Komisarek would've knocked him out and Laraque would've manhandled Thornton...I still don't see us getting another goal. Everyone other than Higgins had like 0 scoring chances.

That was a classy move by Komisarek to cross check Lucic in the face. I hope Komisarek bolts to the Islanders. I don't want to see him in a Habs uniform.

Because Komisarek didn't make it one. Lucic TKO'd him with a right hand right to the chin and could have continued to throw punches but stopped after the second one.

That was a fight...just very one sided.

watch the replay, crosschecked his shoulder and the stick broke then rode into his face.

but anyway....komo should learn to fight or just stop fighting altogether.

Haha, not much of a fight. The one thing I can give Komisarek credit for there though is that he didn't actually fall. I don't know how you can maintain your balance when you are knocked out. I thought for sure he was going down.

What was he thinking? Lucic fought 85 times in his hockey career vs 24 for Komisarek. Lucic is probably also boxing in the off-season. Of course he's gonna kick his ass.

If I'm Komisarek I start boxing in the off-season and ask BGL to teach me how to fight in hockey and then I start fighting guys next season who I know I can beat to gain experience before planning on fighting Lucic again.

Cheap shot, yes, but I enjoyed the stick to the face of Lucic ; it was long overdue and after Lucic had been running guys, tackling from behind and... ironically, crosschecking guys in the face all series/season long - I don't know, it was nice to see him get a touch of his own medicine. If Komisarek starts next season with a suspension, so be it.

If I'm Komisarek I forget about Lucic and I learn to ****ing play hockey again.

For the life of me, Lucic's effectiveness is 50% his own assertiveness and 50% the team falling right into the gameplan.

++++++1. Hate myself for saying it because I don't like cheap shots but if there was one guy who deserved it, it was Lurch. The guy is a cheap shot artist. I was happy Komisarek got him.
