Tanguay will undergo shoulder surgery.

Didnt see it post here yet.

He is not happy against those who doubt that he didnt want to play to save his next contract.

I'm sure we'll find out that there will be a few other players who'll need surgery of some sorts...

I want Tanguay back for sure. He is an elite playmaker, deadly on the powerplay. I'm sure he probably needed surgery after the Arthyukin (sp?) hit a long time ago.

Lemaire, having played 12 seasons with Montreal, saying he would never come back to this place shows how bad the media really is.

Laraque saying that this team will have trouble attracting free agents shows how bad the media really is.

And when Gainey basically has to tell the fans where to go, how can this team possibly succeed?

Fans telling the players they suck, analysts saying players are faking injuries etc. It's just so ridiculous.

If we had this exact same team in a market like Atlanta, i can almost guarantee we compete with Boston for the Eastern Conf. title, and at worst come 4th in the east.

I lost alot of respect for Demers the moment he suggested that Tanguat and Schneider had given up. It's people like him who make Montreal a poisonous place for a hockey player to be.

Demers this morning saying that he never said that.....

He never implied that he was protecting himself 'cause he doesn't have a contract....sorry but to me that's exactly what he said. How can he backup from something that is on the record?

Not sure if we should re-sign him next year? Players coming off major surgery sometime take awhile to get back

Some of you know the disdain I feel for Demers but honestly I'll give him a pass on this. I don't blame him. I blame the company he keeps. Demers reminds me of the kid at school who is not a bad kid but a follower. You put him with geeks and he follows them. You put him with trouble makers and he'll break windows.

I know Demers is an adult and not a kid but in that respect he hasn't matured yet. Look at the company he's keeping: Tremblay, Beregeron, Le Baron.....RDS.

Yeah.. That's the media for you. They keep spewing crap out there. Then, when proven wrong, you can't find the naysayers. It's like their statements never happened.

Uh, because he's arguably their best forward?

Demers is gonna say that because he said it in english , it didnt come out the
way he intended. This is crap as we all know he perfectly bilingual.

I like Tanguay and I hope the Habs can reach a deal with him but I wouldn't give him anything over 4 million a year

I hope Demers gives a public apology to Tanguay, that clown has done nothing but yell stupid useless crap all season, he never gives a good hindsight about the game itself, just about what's already obvious in front of us.

No, he isn't. Lang, Kovalev & Koivu were better.

I'm really bothered by Tanguay's case. If push came to shove I'd say let's not sign him at all. I was really happy with his play during the year. Ecstatic actually. But his two playoff games exposed what kinda of player Calgary and Colrado got rid of: a perimeter player who does great during the season but disappears when the getting gets rough during the playoffs.

Demers never said/meant that.
He is one of the few journalist who sincerely love the habs. Even when we lose, you know he is disappointed unlike others who make sarcastic comments.

Ok, sometimes he is an idiot like the day he invoked Jean Beliveau, but he doesn't have an agenda against the habs.

Hopefully he re-signs for around $4.5 million, odds are he probably wants to get away from this joke of a media though.

If Tanguay is willing to sign here, I guess I would.. but my idea is tanking next season and flipping all experienced assets off for prospects and picks.
