No Torts tomorrow..no win. Torts is very good at getting the team to play a good next game after a crappy game....

Sigh....well it was a good run while it lasted.

so what exactly does Torts do tomorrow... stay home? Is he allowed at MSG? Whats to stop him from calling the game from Dolans secret skybox?

Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling something very bad is going to happen tomorrow. All we need is one or two bad calls to go against the Rangers early, and a riot might break out.

Being this one is on national television and if things get that bad, this could potentially kill the NHL. If not the NHL, then the New York Rangers franchise.

Hopefully Torts' suspension will motivate the players. So sad that being in the playoffs isn't enough to fire them up, but as evidenced by Games 3 & 5, they need an extra push.

see, the thing is, if we had a cpt that spoke up a bit more, more leadership on the team, (cough...cough..??Shanny??, would've been more usefull than Orr, I like Orr) Anyway, we don't so, I agree, though I think they might be able to win a game without Torts. But, I agree that a game 7 is disaster for us.

Yeah, but ya'know what, they already practiced. He's already instilled whatever he was going to on Saturday.

I just leafed through the NHL rulebook, and I didn't see anything about where Torts is allowed to be and not allowed to be. I suspect he's not allowed contact with the team, but for how long? It's a game suspension, so he's suspended for the game. But pre-game is NOT game. So, is he allowed contact with them before the game? Where is he supposed to be during the game? I suspect he's not allowed in the locker room area during the game, but can watch the game and have no contact with the team.

If you have a ticket for tomorrow's game be loud. Be imposing. Be intimidating.

Take a look at what Ovie said about the Washington crowd and the Torts incident:

"Good job by our fans. Our fans are one more player for us. They do what they have to do for us," Capitals star Alex Ovechken said Saturday morning at the team's practice. "They scream and they're loud. Maybe it was too much to [throw] beer or water or whatever. But sometimes that happens. And maybe that's going to happen tomorrow against us, too. You never know.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playof...ews?id=4101189

We are MSG! Unfortunately I don't have a ticket for tomorrow. If you do, you have a responsibility. Come home with no voice left and palms numb from clapping or don't come home at all!

BTW, for those saying let's dump beer on Washington.... have no fear, there will be a military-style amount of security folks in front of the Washington bench. If you do it, you will be seen.

As far as I'm concerned, "no holds barred" tomorrow. Ranger fans should respond in classic fashion.

I got your AO right here:....

So is Schoenfeld going to coach without an assistant tomorrow? I'm assuming Pelino is back on the bench then.

Hey guys, Caps fan here- I live in NY so I'm planning to go to the game with my boyfriend (fellow cappie fan). I'm hoping we don't get bothered too much, the only other away game I've been to was an Islanders game at Nassau C. when they played the caps, and obviously they've been humbled faaaar too much this season to start anything, lol. If we win it will be epic, if we lose at least we can be there at the end just like we were at the beginning. I'm looking forward to seeing MSG, it'll be my first time there since moving to the NYC!

He won't have the nerve to show up, and if he did he'd be in a skybox hiding like the rat he is.
