Hossa would of had to clear waivers to go to Hamilton. As for Flood, I dunno....

There was some thought that he might not have to, either way, it's not a big deal. Hopefully he plays in the Czech league or something. There were some whispers that Flood had been signed, but apparently he hasn't been yet.

Is Hainsey in the same situation as Hossa? I think he's in limbo basically and can't play in the AHL. I'm interested to see how Steve Ott, one of Dallas' better prospects ends up playing.

Pierre Dagenais
Do you think he will return to hamilton or he will take part of thigs like Joel Bouchard caravane or something else. Because if i remember well Dagenais was doing very well when he was playing for hamiton. What was the line he was playing with at the begining of the year?

I really like it. Two good forwards and a good D from Dallas can only help this team. There's a lot of competition, with lots of new faces. It's very interesting. It could've been better with Hossa, Hainsey and Perezhogin but that's another story. I hope they all do well where they'll play. However, I've pissed off that Hainsey plays in the OSHL, it's not a serious league. He needs to play some REAL hockey, he needs to get better defensively, stronger and smarter. The SM-Liiga would have been a great choice for him, or even the SEL. As for Hossa and Perezhogin, I hope they will get some quality ice time with their respective teams.

Bonk had said in an interview that Hossa would be playing in the AHL this year, that's weird. Guess he was out of his mind heh.

I'd think that since the CBA expired, Hossa and Hainsey could be sent to the minors so long as they do still have two-way contracts w/out going on waivers as between-team player transactions can't happen, can they?

But yeah, they don't have two-way contracts anymore.. I don't have a link but I'm pretty sure of that.

I think Flood still have Major Junior eligible left. So, he probably has signed a two-way contract and will play next year in Junior.

Hainsey has to clear waivers. So, I can't see Montreal exposing him to waivers.

Glad to see Olivier Michaud on that list. There was some confusion as to his status. There are 24 players minus the tryouts, so there is a good chance all of the signed players will stick with the club.

I thought it was good to see Jonathon Jolette in there. Anybody got any info regarding Dan Jancevski, Gary Zinck, Eric Normandin or Marco Rosa?

The walk ons are just there to make enough bodies to have intersquad games in camp. No point in getting too excited about them.

The other name that wasn't mentioned was Jean-François Damphousse. Anyone know what happened to him?

And how come Komisarek doesn't have to clear waivers? Nevermind, I'll never understand it and I don't really care.

Jancevski is from the stars I believe. the rest are from the Ice Dogs, as that was part of the agreement with our new ECHL team.

I'm surprised that Michaud's not a RFA. I'm surprised Flood isn't there, he can play for the Petes, strange that he would turn down a contract. I also thought Hossa didn't have to clear waivers, guess I was wrong there too.

J-F is a UFA, wasn't picked up by us. Komisarek is in the final year of his rookie contract, all rookie contracts are 2 way, so he does not have to clear waivers. Next year he will though.

Here some stats about the 4 tryouts who weren't at the Habs' rookie camp:

Jancevski seems to be a big 23 year old from the Stars' org and played in Utah of the AHL for the last three years (not sure if he is a UFA).

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php3?pid=42375

Zinck is a 24 year old who has played in the Q, Canadian University, and briefly in the UHL and CHL.

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php3?pid=49787

Normandin is a well travelled 27 year old, with a few stamps on his passport.

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p...php3?pid=26816

Rosa is a Stars 2001 draft pick who just finished up his NCAA career.
