I realize this is a fun thread. But I also realize there is probably at least one guy thinking "yeah, I could do that". THAT is what makes it funny!

Now you scared the fish away!

I could, no problem. Where do I sign? There will be an opening for head of pro scouting right away if someone wants to apply, and lots of openings on defense.

Apparently Julien Brisebois handles all the cap problems and finance issues, so that is even better.

Now to find a replacement for Jarvis and a new goaltending coach.. looks like I'll be busy..

Yeah I agree with you, and to be a great GM I think you also need to be somewhat of a shark, to have a strong hand to be successful, since you're always dealing with agents and other GM's to conclude multi-million dollar transactions (because that's what it is, it's only money, like any other business, when all is said and done).

You can be a wine enthusiast, and have a talent to recognize a great wine, etc, but that doesn't entitle you to run the S.A.Q....

I would.
But my team wouldn't have more then 2 34 years old on it.

I'd prefer being a coach though, so I could skate the crap out of players that decide to "not show up"
