Bobby Ryan told reporters Sunday that he had a problem with his skate blade in the third period of Saturday’s Game 5 and missed several shifts to have it repaired - ending, or at least addressing speculation about an injury.
Ryan said he “took a weird digger” and the skate cracked. Equipment managers had to take the blade off. He left the ice with 12:59 remaining in regulation and returned to the bench at 2:21.
He's fine.

So what they're telling us is that they don't have a backup pair of skates anywhere in the building? And that it takes like 20 min real time to switch blades? Yeah, OK.

Here's something else to think about. So Nokelainen didn't play because he was injured. And not because he was kind of bad the past 3 games, and atrocious on the dots. From the sounds of it, it's an injury that has been affecting him for a few games. Meaning Carlyle would rather play a semi-injured Nokelainen than a fully healthy Carter.

I call BS. He was clutching his side, I'm guessing it's some sort of chest/rib dealy. Whether he pulled a muscle taking that shot right before he skated off or something.

disappointing end to the game, but even though Hiller let in two softies(I wont blame the bad luck on the first one) the Ducks didn't play well enough to win until the 3rd period and the overtime...

He let in two soft goals, but he made some pretty ridiculous saves that gave us a chance to tie the game.
