Rich Phillips Appreciation Thread

For those of you that have not yet read blog-rakers Rich Phillips the head ice technician is leaving the CBJ to move to DC with his wife. Rich is an amazing person and the Jackets will miss him. Think back a few years ago when we were all complaining how the quality of the ice had gone down at Nationwide. Think about the last 3 seasons. Rich took over and has made the difference. He works thanklessly long hours and has done a fantastic job with Nationwide and the Ice Haus. I wish him the best and hope he makes it back for our first playoff win.

As anyone who had the opportunity to chat with Rich after games at the Rbar can attest, he is a master at his profession. You could ask how the ice was and he would be able to give such vivid details on how it was exactly. Good luck in whatever u do Rich and it was a pleasure to get to know you.

Don't know this guy personally, but the ice at the ice haus is the best in town, hopefully it's quality won't trend downward.
