Normally I would be all for a more traditional 2 stacked scoring line format because rolling 3 legitimately dangerous scoring lines is a luxury that we can't really afford with a salary cap.
However, you have to look at it in terms of ice time too. Our three most productive forwards Richards, Carter, and Gagne (excluding Giroux for now, let's not all go crazy over what he's done no matter how impressive it's been) are also three of our best penalty killers and defenders which means they are on the ice in all situations. Loading up on two scoring lines means a lot of ice time for our stars.
