I still firmly believe Burke will somehow draft Tavares.

Lecavalier to Montreal seems done. I bet the two GMs have already sent in the paperwork, hence they deem it alright to bash each other now.

Other wild predictions:

-Thornton ends up an Oiler, Gagner/Horcoff/+ end up Sharks
-Marleau becomes a Blue Jacket, Umberger+ become Sharks.

Lecavalier to Columbus for Filatov + Hejda + CLB 1st

Bouweemester signs in Vancouver

Lupul + PHI 1st 2009 for Vokoun (Florida then resigns Andersen for cheaper than Vokoun).

Gilbert + Cogliano + EDM 1st for Horton + Allen + FLA 2nd

I d like to see the Pens make a move for Poni, he's got one more year on a very attractive contract, something based on Pens Second or Tampa's Third and an average prospect.

Philly has no room as is....if they do indeed trade for what your saying it will be equal cap going the other way.

Wow Filatov + Hejda + CLB 1st? I wouldn't do that if I were Columbus.

Ive been seeing alot of Vinny trade rumours on here, Im not as sold on it as everyone else seems to be, however if something was to happen i would think something like this would seem realistic.

to : Tomas Plekanec, Sergei Kostitsyn, Josh Gorges, PK Subban, and a 1st.
to : Vincent Lecavailier and Paul Ranger.

re-sign Lang
Koivu retires
re-sign Tanguay and Kovalev

TANGUAY-LECAVAILIER-KOSTITSYN
PACIORETTY-MAXWELL-KOVALEV
HIGGINS-LANG-D'AGOSTINI
LATENDRESSE-LAPIERRE-TKO

MARKOV-KOMISAREK
RANGER-HAMRLIK
WEBER-O'BYRNE

PRICE
HALAK

C-LECAVALIER
A-KOVALEV
A-MARKOV
A-LAPIERRE

I dont think this is enough to get you Lecavailier and putting ranger into the deal makes this a complete joke

I am thining Thorton stays but Marleau is gone in SJ. I don't think Lecavalier is coming to Montreal but ya never know.

I would not be surprised if Briere is gone from Philly if they can get him to waive his NTC.

Do you honestly think Saku is going to retire? Come now....Maxwell as second line center? Ouch, he is not ready for the big show.

Neal and the 8th overall pick for Kaberle? That is overpayment of the highest order! The only person to blame if Kaberle does not get a hefty return is Kaberle himself. He was given the chane to waive his NTC how many times?

I agree with this, I was interested in Poni as a trade deadline guy this year since January. Bringing him in at a little over $2m for next year would definitely help us fill out our top six.

I'd love to see Lecavalier or Thornton go to Columbus to play with Nash. Thornton might come cheaper than Lecavalier if the Sharks look to start over this summer. Would it take somthing like Voracek or Brassard plus picks/prospects to get him?

These lines would be pretty sick in the near future:

Nash - Thornton - Huselius
Filatov - Umberger - Voracek

Well, Pens will trade Malkin, Crosby, Staal, and MAF to Montreal for Kovalev and Kostitsin bros, then Pittsburgh fans start the riot and kill Shero, then US Gov sent army to put the riot down, then Pittsburgh people ask China for help, then 3rd World War start, then... Well I hope Shero won't trade those guys...

The media in Toronto is getting old. Fans have been fine, as has been Burke.

Florida trades Vokoun, Olesz and the rights to Bouwmeester for Carle, Lupul and a first round draft choice.

Having a guy like Marleau would be nice, but there's no reason for us to trade a player who is rapidly becoming one of the more popular players overall over here, already is one of our best goal scorers (second only to Nash this past season), and has been the biggest playoff stud on our team both before and after he became a Jacket.

Admittedly, Hejda's lost a teeny bit of his lustre after that playoff series (must've lent it to Klesla ), but that doesn't make this any less bats*** insane. One doesn't even *consider* giving up so much unless what you're getting is the only thing standing between you and the Cup, and we are so not there yet.

My prediction is that Howson signs a point-producing defenseman and a backup goaltender, resigns some of our other guys, and calls it an offseason. I'm thinking Spacek and Nittymaki, but there's no way to be sure, really.

Colorado trades for a goalie, most likely by trading Wolski.

I think a Wolski for Harding trade would be a fair deal.
