Holmgren to talk to media after post-season meetings today at Noon(Flyers Website)

Sorry to start a new thread.

The Flyers are currently having post-season meetings with all the players, according to the Flyers OTF Twitter site. Homer will talk to the media at noon. Not sure if it'll include plans, but I figured I'd mention it.

If a mod doesn't think this is important, feel free to move it to the OBT. I wanted to make sure people who are interested in it to know.

This should be interesting.

You should actually make this a GDT.

I don't suspect he's going to say anything earth shattering. Just the usual BS...

- We had some injuries.
- We're disapointed.
- We'll try and make the team better next year, thru signing and trades...

....blah, blah, blah.

You're probably right, but you never know. They use these meetings to get an idea of what the players are thinking and the moves they may make in the off season, so if there's any chance he can shed some light on you may stay and who may go, at least in terms of free agency, I wouldn't mind listening.

I wouldn't be surprised if he says that Carter was playing hurt.

Last year he told us what he intended to do, did it (he thought), and made it worse.

Those aren't exactly the guys I had in mind.

I think Lindros too, is still experiencing the side effects of post concussion syndrome.

Surely that had a factor in the series.

...and then of course there is always the Upshall card. wonder if he'll admit that we would have swept the Penguins if we hadn't dealt him at the deadline.

Wrong. Flyers would have lost in 7 if we had Upshall, but had Upshall been the ONLY Flyer to dress against the Penguins (basically Upshall Vs Pittsburgh) then, and only then, would the Flyers* have swept the Penguins.

* Upshall

I have the stream up and someone told the audience to not drop any F-Bombs because they are streaming live.

Reporters should be forced to ask their questions in front of a mic. I can't understand a word they're saying.
