I can't wait to be embarrassed by the garbage the nimrods on this board will post about this team in the next week and a half, this schrute guy is already getting it going.
Had they put that type of effort in games 5 and 6 we would have closed out the series.

Tough loss. Semins goal came off a very lucky bounce. we control the game for two and a half periods and we deserved to win this one.
Overall it's been a pretty dismal season. Let's hope for some serious improvement for next year. Time to get out the golf clubs have a good summer everyone.

Exactly. Fact of the matter is we got beat by a better team. I'd rather lose knowing that the team played as hard as they could. Simply weren't as good as them.

I wish my pre-series prediction didn't come true. I felt the Caps would win in 7 but hoped that the outcome could go the other way.

Better team won. Wouldn't have been close without our goalie. Caps sharpshooters in the end kept burying it high on Henriks glove side.

Not looking forward to 5 more yrs of Wade Redden though..

we gave it our all that is why i am not bashing my team...however we lost 3 in a row and that is still a HUGE FAILURE

i am sad, because i really started to believe in this team to succeed and they just could not control the puck in this series.
There is only so much Lundy can do, federov had a great shot and it beat us.

We have to prove to ourselves we belong next year...

If they didnt **** the bed in games 5 and 6, then a fluke goal would never have happened in game 7.

**** Ovechkin.

How could anyone be happy with the way they played this series?
They were up 3-1 and completely choked.
Rangers fans have such low standards these days, it's unbelievable.

You do realize we would have been swept in this series if not for Lundqvist? You did see the saves he made tonight to even keep us in the game, right? I suppose if Orr was playing we woulda been better?

Until about Game 4. Then November Hank came back and it was all over.

I agree with those who'd rather see them go down this way than the way the played in the last two games. They played a great game but they really needed to step up in the final frame. One shot on goal in the 3rd and a weak goal by Hank -- they didn't deserve to advance but at least they played a pretty good game. Going to have to find some chemistry and get at least one offensive difference maker on the team for next season

I loved that play where Girardi got high sticked and the ref stood there and looked at it.

Dubinsky really showed heart, drury is a joke.

You have every right to say whatever you want about Lundqvist, Sather, or the ****ing popcorn vendor at the Garden. But seriously there is a way to do it in a manner that A) Doesn't make you look like a tool and B) Doesn't make everyone hate you. Coming into this thread after a game like this and pulling the I told you so ******** doesn't help. These boards are great for all the fans of the Rangers
to discuss the team and games but come on.

Give it up, it was a laser of a shot, and Fedorov put it perfect under the bar. Redden failed on his man, he should not allow Fedorov to get in so close and then when he does screen his goalie.
