Hey what can you say the Rangers played a great 1st period and a really good 2nd period as they controlled the play for minutes at a time. They dominated only to come out 1-1 after 2 periods of play. The Rangers had a great forecheck the 1st 2 periods then seemed a bit gassed in the 3rd. Only 1 shot in the 3rd period of a Game 7 would show that. Great shot to the short side by Federov and that was it. Can't blame the refs 3 penalties all correct calls were made all game and there were no special team goal. Yes the call on Girardi was correct he took out Ovechkin when he was trying to get into the zone without the puck. That's it not much more to say I'm not gonna bust any balls tonight as this was a tough loss for you guys. Take care

Disappointed that we outplayed them the whole game and still lost... Well, here's to a complete makeover in the off-season.

Again, we lost because our PP stinks and we have no top end offensive talent.

Gaborik please.

Now that the playoffs are done the secrecy ends with it: Gomez has the swine flu.

Games are 3 periods. We fell to pieces in the third.

So...
Lets go Penguins? I don't know if i'm going to be able to take the Crosby/Ovechkin lovefest in the next series.

.

This hurts.

Thought we played well enough tonight to take the game, but I'm not sure what happened in the 3rd.

Posted this on the Caps board and I truly mean it. The better team won this series.

Still cuts deep.

Good season guys. Deserved to win the last game. Sad, but expected.

I know many wont agree, but Avery is a marked man by the refs. He almost literally gets nothing called on him when an opposing play pulls him down or checks him hard from behind.

I hope Torts calls out the referees in this leauge.

Where was everyone that was supposed to be "the" difference maker? You only needed one.

On the flip side, I learned that my perceptions of Antropov were wrong, and that he's a good player with admirable qualities that I would be happy to see stay with the team.

Right now if things hold up the Pens play the B's, and the Caps play the Devils, and Ill be openly rooting for the Devils in that one. My hatred for the Caps and their fans have skyrocketed.

The only reason why we won 3 games was due to Hank.

So, if one guy is the only reason why you're winning, you're "Not the better team."

I am proud with how they played tonight, but I am - by no means - surprised that Washington won. They were EASILY the better team of the series.

Just want to say great series Rangers fans. You guys are a classy bunch.

We Caps got really lucky in the first 2 periods and were lucky to get out alive.

Cheer for us for the rest of the playoffs.

Booooooooo.

Awful and embarrassing yet again. Tons of guys shouldnt be here next year disgracing those uniforms.

Hopefully we draft well and make a lot of trades and releases cuz this team is absolute **** and needs a retool. Outside of about 5 guys this team has no killer instinct and cant finish anything.

Who the hell's even left to pull for? Now I hate the Caps cuz they're cheapasses who dont get called for anything... as a NYer I cant pull for anything Boston, I HATE Pitt, and now the Caps, so I guess its NJ or Car? Ugh. Go Red Wings, again.

That goal was all on Wade. He let Fedorov skate from his blue line to the dot of our zone without laying a finger on him.

Gotta stop watching the puck and play the body.

I'm was in no way shape or form prepared for Rangers hockey to be over.

The lack of a call on Erskine taking out Avery on his way to the bench was a little mind boggling though. They were just not going to call any fouls taken against him.
