How worse? well the H5N1 strain has deadlier genes and could kill billions of humans. Why? It works 29 times faster than the H1N1 (Spanish). No symptoms one day, death the other.

Tamiflu, it treats it very well.

I talked about it with one of my buddies from Mexico and he mentioned that the deaths were for the most part homeless because they couldn't get inside quickly enough. Apparently, the flu like Harry explained gives you a fever rather quickly and your body temperature will go as high as 39 Celsius, so if it's 32 Celsius outdoor and you can't get to the hospital quickly, you'll die.

That's what is going on in Mexico right now. The short is apparently rather cheap (40$) so it will be contained (hopefully), quickly enough.

That's how

Quote:
Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) is a neuraminidase inhibitor. By blocking the activity of the neuraminidase, Oseltamivir prevents new viral particles from being released by infected cells.

Apparently, the government is blocking any Tamiflu purchases to prevent people from stocking up.

So I was at a bar a bit earlier and a friend met a female friend of his he didn't see in a while. After hugging and everything, she tells him she just got back from Mexico yesterday, but she doesn't have any symptom. I was close enough to that girl for a couple minutes before fleeing the scene. I then shook hands with my friend a few minutes later before leaving, am I at any dangers ?

Wash your hands and your face, go take a shower and go to bed.

I don't know what Swine Flu is. But all this talk is making me badtrip. I got a flu a week ago, ****ing horrible. I didn't sleep a minute in 72 hours, I was bleeding from my nose and on a few occasions spat blood. As far as I know it's gone now but I do always wake up with a numb mouth since, that's about it. I'm not concerned since I don't know what swine flu is. All I know is that my sis came back from a trip in mexico 3 weeks ago. She's fine.

I wonder how cheap trips to Mexico will be next year. Not in a joking sense, but seriously. I remember after the food scare a few months back, meat was dirt cheap.

Anyway, there are a few people I know who are sick, but I'm not all that worried unless I show any symptoms. I will inform them to head to their doctors though.

So I woke up with a bit of a sore throat yesterday, and I still have it today. However, it's very mild and it's not bothering me enough for me to take losanges. Should I do anything about it or should I ignore it?

So after my Mexican clients who just immigrated here last week, I feel no real symptoms except my eyes are bloodshot and my nose is runny.

Uh, that doesn't sound like the flu. You have either pneumonia or teh aids.

I would recommend against stockpiling a personal stash of Tamiflu unless you can get a VERY significant amount of it.

It's still unclear whether the current recommended dosage of Oseltamivir would be enough to suppress the viral replication of the swine flu.

In fact, by having a personal stash you could inadvertently develop a drug-resistant strain of the virus.

I'm pretty sure I had the flu, but i agree it doesn't explain the blood situation. I woke up with blood in my mouth again this morning, little of it, but still there.
