I miss Jagr.

But isn't he on a two year deal, i.e. would need to pass waivers for any club to play him?

You played a more offensively skilled team, and came very close to beating them. Lundquist had a great series, as we all expected.

Not saying the Caps way is perfect, but I think the Rangers organization would do much better if they build there young talent, and not try to win through FA's. I only say that because you have a lot of money tied up in players who did not produce.

Either way, you guys are far from Chokers.
You're exactly right I'm sure you have fans over on the Caps board whose expectations are sometimes not very realistic. The Rangers didn't choke, they lost to a better team. I understand a lot of the disappointment in the performance of the big money guys and the veterans because honestly if they all performed they way they should we probably could have won the series. But coming into the playoffs a lot of fans here were being realists knowing that this team from the beginning wouldn't place higher than 5th or 6th in the east. So for some of us whose expectations were a little lower this loss doesn't hurt as bad.

The team has some strong building blocks for sure, but a lot of dead weight and needs to be reconstructed and tweaked a bit.

Good luck to the Caps all though I don't think they will be hoisting the cup maybe they can get to the ECF. Congrats on a hard fought series.

I don't think that our guys are chokers. I'm just pointing out that the collective psyche of a team has many variables. We won't know what the reaction is until next season, or beyond. My gut tells me that Dubi and Cally will react especially well.

My gut also tells me to have tamales for lunch today.

I like how Dubi & Cally responded down the stretch. Dubi seemed to grow up alot this year, his intensity is starting to grow, moving away from the awkward kid stage.

No on the tamales, staying away from Mexy food until they get this swine flu business settled
