Lang : Habs' Leader

According to Ron Fournier, Lang is the only leader of the team.

Fournier asked to 8 players who are the leaders of this team.
6 answered nobody, 2 said Lang is the leader.

6 vs 2 does not make him a leader...haha

man this team was crazy this year...

a leader is only a leader if the others accept him as a leader. Put Steve Yzerman, at his prime, with the habs this year and he would not be considered as a leader if the others dont follow, dont care.

we all played in sports team and you know what i mean

cheers

He's too much of a wuss to ask any of the vocal players...Probably went up to Markov and said "hé toé, cé ki le leedurrr?" and Markov got confused and walked passed Lang's locker.

I guess Boivin will soon announce Ron Fournier as the new Habs GM. He knows EVERYTHING!

P.S. Ron refers to "selon l'équipe" when he mentions his facts. I'm sure someone on this team would tell him what are the plans of this team. It's also ironic the team agrees with every single thing that Ron has in mind.

You want to hear a good one? Michel Villeneuve said on CKAC that he would offer a 5M$ contract along with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick for.................. Brandon Dubinsky He's a good player, but his stats aren't better than Chris Higgins. I thought "Newtown" was a bit better than Ron, I guess I was wrong.

Robert Lang was great for us up until his injury. Having said that, he's not a guy to whom I rush on July 1st to offer a contract. Due to his age and the seriousness of his injury, he's a plan B or C, but certainly not out of question.

he started the year with a bang and he's a tough player, but he hit a bit of a slump and his stats ended up similar to last year's. stats don't tell the whole story - he's a relatively big center and we need that more than a chris higgins type 2-way forward, but 5 million is absurd...

Ron is such an idiot... He wants people to call and tell them who we should keep. Everytime someone says Koivu, he refuses his opinion and ridiculises it, saying that the team needs change. When someone says whoever else, its okay. Then, at the end, he says people wants to keep Kovalev, Lang, Tanguay... doesnt mention Koivu who had a couple of votes.

The Anti-Koivu campaign has started. We already are weak at center and they want to get rid of him. Even as a 2b center, I'd take Koivu if the salary is not too high. People want more caracter player, but how many caracter players must we lose? After Souray and Rivet, now Koivu and Komisarek?

Exactly...what the Koivu bashers don't realize is that we have NO ONE to replace him. Not only that, he's been through the Habs roughest years and still wants to stay. Yes he's been a 60ish point per season player, but he's never played with elite wingers a whole season. The only time he's played with such wingers is that last stretch of the season, with Tanguay and Kovalev, and good god it looked good. And I wanna see a whole season of that, just once, to see what the guy has really got.

Pretty much and why would the players even answer a question like that?
