But Reinsdorf doesn't have billions and the millions he does have he doesn't like to spend.

Kubina + Leafs fans hype - the hype + overpriced contract = worth a 2nd

my equation makes more sense.

p.s.- $5 Million is market value for Kubina, he isn't overpriced.

Cap space is an asset. Most teams are fairly tight to the cap and to not trake back salary in a move is very hard to do in today's NHL. If Toronto needs (which likely isn't the case) to free up extra space then I would suggest that they may be willing to dump an asset for less than market value.

Leafs give up too much. Tlusty does not belong in that proposal. Also, Fedoruk and Hale have negative value. If Phoenix wants to dump salary, then they have to pay (with assets).
i think this is a good deal for both sides

Last year the Kings traded the 13th overall and a 3rd in 09 to get the 12th overall from Buffalo to select Colten Teubert.

I was actually thinking of putting an asterisk about unless Balsillie's deal goes through.

I agree with the Sens fan. Kubina for an early 2nd is about right, and the $5 000 000 off the cap is gold! Now rid ourselves of MVR and we can offer JayBo $7 000 000 and still save $1 000 000.
