I see Antropov as one of the best UFA for the habs, he played great for the Rangers and is great in front of the net and protect the puck la no one. He also seems to drive the net for often since he played with the Rangers. Would you give Antropov a try? I know we may overpay, but I think it's worth it. How much would you give for Antropov?
You would spit on a player that is actually better than half of our players? I love the habs but I also like the Rangers and Iv'e followed Antropov's contribution with the Rangers and on the Rangers board the fans would like to Keep Antropov over Zherdev and just love Antropov.

Yes ! LMAO his best year was 56 pts in 72 games...5 million ok there buddy..
his size brings a lot more than some people may think. He had a 60 points season and play with way more passion than in is maple leaf days... I don't get why you laugh at the 5 million offer, because Antropov won't get less than 4 millions.
On foward, he is one of the best UFA, that's why we will be overpay.
I don't think Antropov is the answer....but he certainly couldn't hurt. He's a big center who drives to the net and has an offensive flare. If you put the right wingers on with him, he could excel into something great.
In the same breath...I wouldn't waste a whole lot of money on him either. If he wanted to sign a 1 year deal worth between 3-4 million a year, I would give him a shot...but I wouldn't sign him to a long contract for more than $4 million a season.
Personally, I would rather see the Habs go after someone who has been around the NHL longer than Antropov and who plays a similar game....preferably a right handed shot too.

3 millions for Antropov isn't even a possibility.
And that's why we don't want him. The guy just showed in his Leafs days that he was a lazy ass...
As a complement of someone else, Antropov could be a very good signing.
I also see him as a complementary player, but a really good one. 5 millions on the market is a lot of money but no one wants to play for the habs. If we can land Antropov, a good D and get a 80+ point player by trade..or UFA? I don't really like the Gaborik or Havlat gamble, and Steve Sullivan is just a ridiculous option. Hossa won't come to motreal, so there aren't much option.

You sir are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outa here on this one. You wouldn't take a gamble on Gaborik one of the top 5 players in all of hockey yet you would give 5 million $ to Antropov.
If Lang started skating in the first round this year after his injury, it probably means he'll come back for at least one last season, and seeing how he is much better defensively than antropov, is right handed, is big even though not as big as Antropov, produces as much points and even more, and will cost less to retain for one season and wants to play here, whereas we're talking of taking Antropov for one season, than I would definetly keep Lang instead as he knows the team, the youngsters and showed some leadership with the team (and the team went down the crapper when HE left because of a freak injury.

Lang's production isn't as good as Antropov 's production...I don't know, maybe some of you just watch the habs .
