I'm actually not looking forward for Olli joining the team... He had a bad WC last year, really bad finish to the regular season and only scored in one game in the POs... Not really something I'm looking forward for more...

No Olli this year please. And no Selanne or Koivu. Pitkanen and Ruutu would be niiice. And Filppula also, but that´s not happening obviously. We need some new guys to step up, thats why I hope that the older guys wont come... And IMO O. Jokinen isnt as good as he is labeled. Very moody player, playes 1-2 excellent games and then dissapears for 5-6 games. Not a "leader" that we need.

He could upset the chemistry of the team, but the bottom line is that if he is available he will play. He should be placed on the 2nd line as a center because our first line is awesome right now!

Mittens - Kapster - Haggey

I think it all comes down to the jersey vs carolina game tonite.

Would be nice to get T. Ruutu, Pits and Juicy.

If OJ comes as well and carolina is knocked out I think the 2nd
line should be

T.Ruutu OJ Jussi J.

Korps would be a good addition too.

Carolina's still fighting for the Stanley Cup! Great! I'm also happy that OJ skipped this Euro Hockey Tournament so he can focus on the games that really matter in February 2010.

You think Jalonen will ask Lauri Korpikoski to play?

I thought I read somewhere that he was a go. But I wonder what happened with Jesse Joensuu?

The way Immonen is playing atm Korpedo will be huge upgrade...I hope he is healthy and ready! Plus Korpedo can play offensive or defensive role...and center or winger.

It would be very needless to bring on Jesse as he would likely be the 13th forward. If a forward from NA is added, he should be a given on the top two lines me thinks.

Immonen has played sound two-way hockey and actually has quite some hits too. I don't see Korpikoski being an upgrade, but maybe a linemate for Immonen...

Versatile is Korpedo`s second name. Put him in any current line and he will make it better. 1st line tought is untouchable, but he could easily replace Hagman or Miettinen if fire power is needed to be spread.

Fingers crossed for his arrival...

Would be so excited to see Korpedo play and our lines would improve a lot:

Miettinen - N.Kapanen - Hagman
S.Kapanen - Immonen - Korpikoski
Pihlman - Hytönen - Hyvönen
Pyörälä - Santala - Ruutu

After big disapointment it`s time to share toughts abouts some players who played in WHC.

Hagman:
Clearly the best performance I have seen from him in national team. Got better and better when tournament went on (forget the end of USA game). He has great pair of wheels and he uses them well. His vision and understanding of the game has gotten better when years have gone by, but still those features are only at adequate level. At times he is circling outside of the play, far away from the puck. It`s like he`s not part of the line and that doesn`t help to create and preserve pressure to the offensive zone. Also his passing isn`t that good mainly because lack of vision. Altought when he is playing with clever player like N.Kapanen it`s not that big of a problem. Does bring offensive threat.
8 1/2

Miettinen:
Less offensive version of Hagman, but in many ways same kind of a player. Doesn`s shine in any part of the game, but does everything well. Sometimes he looks like a calm scorer and sometimes he is wandering in the shadows when speaking about offensive game. Usefull player in many situations.
8

Jaakola:
Next Numminen? Sometimes it`s almost impossible to notice him on the ice. Played his role perfectly.
10-

S.Kapanen:
After slow start he showed what kind of a player he really is. Great effort in the last two games. When is on the mood he still can outskate anyone. Did not have "C" on his chest for nothing.
8+

Komarov:
From the time he stepped on the ice for the first time he was pure gold for the team. Did what he was asked to do. Energy, hitting and even some offensive game. It really was suprise to me that he did this well. Against USA he didnt play much because of penalties, but you still could notice when he was on the ice.
9 1/2
