Yeah, because it's so succesfull.

It was the 2 min PP1 that made them #2 in the league.

it was blown down there because after the shot directed in the corner only Pens were around it and therefore the ref just blew it down.

And getting us scored on immediately afterward in the playoffs. Things change.

Would have liked a goal or two, but solid period.

Not the worst period they've played.

Got to love Erskine washing Malkin.

Looked like AO went back after someone who hit him a little questionable.

Keep the pace up and we got a shot. Glad to see we had 30+ seconds of possession in their zone in a single period. Haven't seen that in a couple games.

That's happened a few times, but the cause is debatable...

I wish Ovechkin would just ignore all the Media BS and do his thing.

A much better period of hockey from the Caps.

This game is getting chippy. As I said earlier this thread, whoever is losing this game late in 3rd is going to go nuts on the other team especially if its > than a goal.

Wouldn't mind finishing a few more checks though, especially on Letang. It seems like he's picking up a decent amount of Gonchar's minutes, and I don't think he's 100%. Got to keep hitting him.

Watching highlights from last night's game (Vs.). Whoever says Ovy intentionally tried to hurt Gonchar is nuts.

One thing I noticed is the Caps forwards are too upright around the net. You need to be more compact, stronger on your skates to be in better in position to bang home any garbage. Most of the time they're not in position to do anything if a loose puck is in their vicinity.
