What are your predictions on where some of the bigger name UFAs/RFAs sign this offseason? Which ones resign with their current teams and which ones leave and to where?

Pretty nice predictions. I agree with most of them including Bulin staying with the Hawks for another year. I think Niedermayer will stay around another season. Same thing goes for Koivu. I'm not sure about Kovalev.

Can we do smaller names too? Like Nick Boynton who I hope comes back to Boston

Was one of my favorite players

Kovalev signs with Washington and feeds Ovechkin the puck every game and gets 700 assists because Ovie will punch Kovalev out if he doesn't play hard.

And the rest of the league cowers in fear of trying to stop them...

Gaborik - LA (Just a hunch)
Hossa - Pittsburgh
Havlat - Chicago
Sundin - Retire or Vancouver
Tanguay - Ottawa
Koivu - Minnesota
Guerin - Pittsburgh
Kovalev - Montreal
Tkachuk - St. Louis
Lehtinen - Dallas
Cole - Carolina
Comrie - LA
Fedorov - Russia
Gionta - Montreal (Just a hunch once again)
Lang - Atlanta
Cammalleri - Toronto
Sedins - Vancouver
Afinogenov - NYR
Sullivan - Montreal
Knuble - Minnesota
Kozlov - Washington
Kotalik - Vancouver
Fedotenko - Pittsburgh
Sykora - Pittsburgh
Williams - Columbus
Antropov - NYI
Rob Niedermayer - Anaheim
Pyatt - Vancouver
Begin - Dallas (wish he'd come back to MTL though)
Recchi - Philadelphia
Madden - NYI

Beauchemin - Montreal
Leopold - Calgary
Komisarek - NYI
Mara - Carolina
Gill - San Jose
Havelid - Sweden
Boynton - Boston
Spacek - Buffalo
Ohlund - Buffalo
Morris - Anaheim
Aucoin - Ottawa
Scott Niedermayer - Retire
Schneider - Colorado
Blake - San Jose
Bouwmeester - Philadelphia

Biron - Philadelphia
Garon - Montreal
Khabibulin - Tampa Bay

Just before anyone mentions I'm a homer, I see Montreal signing:

Sullivan at 3,5M for 2 years
Gionta at 4M for 3 years
Beauchemin at 4M for 5 years
Garon at 1,5M for 2 years
re-signing Kovalev at 4M for 2 years

Given they have over 30 millions $ of cap space I don't think that's much of a stretch. I also see them trading Halak (unfortunately) to a team like Detroit or Philly who'll need cap space along with some other pieces for a guy like Briere. Anyway. That's just a guess... As good as any...

I see Burke going hard for a couple former Ducks: Travis Moen and Francois Beauchemin signing in Toronto this July.

If Beauchemin is not re-signing with Anaheim, he's coming back to Montreal. He really all but said it himself.

atlanta will make overpaying offers to the big ones and get shot down only to succeed in overpaying for a middle of the road guy or two

Back to Montreal? Hold on while I check how many games he played in Montreal.

Oh, you didn't hear, they're trading all of their awful contracts for good young players.

To be fair, they did offer redden 6 million over 6 years. Plus this way, they can have a top line of drastically overpayed players.

Yeah, and since Hossa wants to play with winners he'll obviously sign with the Oilers.

I think Vancouver is going to pass on re-signing Sundin(if he doesn't retire) and land Marian Hossa.

I agree with the above quote. They obviously will go at least 8.5M per for his services.
