SEL goalie questions!

How good is Gustavsson?
Could he be a 2nd Lundy? or maybe a second Larsson?

Also how good are Modig and Ackerlund?
They are rated low at HF?!

Thanks for any information!

There is a big difference between what kind of shots a SEL goalie and an NHL goalie will have to save and the amount of them. An NHL goalie will also have more traffic in front of the net and rebounds directed towards the sides will bounce back out on the ice a little quicker. That said, I do believe Gustavsson could become a hit in the NHL. Strong mentality combined with strong physics along with good movement will atleast make him a good back up. 2nd Lundy...? To early to tell. I wish so, even more so if he sign with Toronto.

I belive that Gustavsson could be very very good if he gets icetime and a good goaliecoach to work with and continue the work that he and Eric Granqvist started in Färjestad.

I think he has a way to go before he is as good as Lundqvist but I think he is a much better goalie than Larsson, Tellqvist or Holmqvist.
He is much more tight in his game, bigger and so much more explosive. He also have an almost scary mental toughness.

The team that he signs for should be very lucky.

When Lundqvist put up his numbers in the SEL league he was playing against a decent amount of NHL talent because that was a lock-out season so that's hard to say at this point.

Also we have seen many previous talents switch and for what ever reason, cannot put out at nearly or any where near the same rate they did in their previous league. We can have high hopes but in the end we have to wait and see. A lot of promise though!
