Really?

You do know he was the Flyers first round draft pick, right? He led his Junior team in scoring, with 37 goals and 83 points in just 68 games that year.

Then, in the playoffs, he led the Whalers all the way to the Finals, where they lost in 7 games, and piled up 14 more goals and 30 more points in 23 games easily leading his team in scoring. The next fall, he made the Flyers in his first training camp. I assure you, he didn't make the team for his defense.

Anyone that tells you Justin Williams was expected to be a scorer in the NHL simply doesn't know what they are talking about.
Again, please take a deep breath man... You are so completely overreacting to every comment, as if you were taking it all personal, it's not even funny. It's just a hockey board, so be cool...

What I should have said is : At the time the Flyers traded Williams, they were not expecting him to become that much of an points producer anymore, because he deceived in his first few NHL seasons. There's no argument here. They traded him for Danil Markov, and that says it all.

LOL You know in your heart of hearts that if we had picked up Jussi and things went exactly as they did anyway, it would be . . .

Gainey!

For whatever reason, players past and present seem to have these successful stretches in Carolina. It's all about having a good fit and good timing
