Alex Can't Do It On His Own

Stan Fischler breaks down Game 5 at MaxHockey.com:
http://www.maxhockey.com/playoffs/Fischler.php

Another writer at the site goes in a completely different direction:

The only players who showed up today were OV, Backstrom and Varlamov. Everyone else, especially Mike Green should donate their game check to charity. If I were OV I'd call a players only meeting and tell these worthless bums to play hockey or take themselves out of the lineup so we can call up someone who will give it 110% out there.

For all the negative things Semin had to say about Crosby early in the year, he sure has been a no-show. The only people scared of his shot are the couple of guys who have to replace panes of glass at Verizon. Yesterday would've been a nice time for backing up some of that big talk.

You'll notice that there's a MaxHockey section on the front page, which means that HF and MaxHockey have some sort of partnership.

Yeah, seriously and I'm tired of the "he's injured" excuse, everyone is hurting in the playoffs. OV isn't 100% and he still leading all scorers in the playoffs. If he is that badly hurt then he shouldn't be on the ice, so far the only thing he has contributed are untimely turnovers and dumb penalties.

I still don't need somebody coming to our forums to sell us their hockey poo. Particularly when the next post is a Semin said about Crosby post. I don't need it.

Exactly. But since he's got a partnership with HF it's fine.

too many of his shots are getting blocked. not only because Pens are good at it and willing to fight for their team but also you can see very easily when he's about to shoot. he needs to start making his own luck now
