I have a feeling that Kovalev will come back to Pittsburgh to finish his career playing with Malkin.

Just before anyone mentions I'm a homer, I see Montreal signing:

Sullivan at 3,5M for 2 years
Gionta at 4M for 3 years
Beauchemin at 4M for 5 years
Garon at 1,5M for 2 years
re-signing Kovalev at 4M for 2 years

Given they have over 30 millions $ of cap space I don't think that's much of a stretch. I also see them trading Halak (unfortunately) to a team like Detroit or Philly who'll need cap space along with some other pieces for a guy like Briere. Anyway. That's just a guess... As good as any...

I know many people here say Montreal have a tough time signing UFAs, but really, with over 30 millions of cap space, good reputation or not, Montreal will be able to attract at least a couple of top-6 forwards and top-4 d-men. Maybe not big names as Hossa, Gaborik and cie., but definately Sykoras, Beauchemins, Giontas and Sullivans.

So the Habs will sit with around 25 millions $ of cap space after the summer?

So most here say the Panthers lose Bou,and the only person they sign is Kotalik or Danis. Ummmm,I don't think soooooo. Money is there, they will spend it. Either on a centre or another top fourish' dman,Martin loves the blueline.

That's Cole.

oops, typo. I meant cool.

By the way, Senatorsfan56... I'm Bryan Murray. Don't tell the others. You're the only one who can see this, I put a shield over this post that allows only you to read it. Right now, I am working on a deal with Carolina to get Erik Cole for Kelly, Smith, Schubert, and my favorite "Spay and Neuter Your Dogs" bumper sticker. Since you've stuck by Cole this whole time, I thought I would tell you first.

P.S, in case you were worried that I was tampering, I'm not. See, I'm writing this from... the future!

Salut,

Bryan.

See, I'm writing this from... the future!

Salut,

Bryan.

My name is Steve Yzerman.
You are a little kid.

I changed the Erik Cole I predict that he will sign with the Ottawa Senators. So if you did not see you must be blind.

Two that could be interesting are a couple of Pens not listed here: Sykora & Satan.

At about the 60-game mark of the season, word was that Sykora had told Shero he wanted a 3-year deal, no the two years that Shero was discussing.

He's since played himself into the press box, and his roster spot (but not role) has been usurped by Satan, who's acquitted himself well (if not spectalarly) in his limited ice time.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with these guys.

edit: interesting, career-wise; not necesarily in impact on any team's top line.

Really hope the Ducks let Beauchemin go. If so, he'll probably come back to Montreal if Gainey asks him and gives him a reasonable offer.

Uhhh no. If they wanted him they would have signed him 2 years ago. We have no need for centers and no need for lazy pieces of garbage

I don't mean this in a condescending way whatsoever, but if you want a good source for checking cap numbers, try nhlnumbers.com, it has very good info
