I am still pissed after wasting a mighty hangover and a boatload of cash. I bet Malkin was salivating like pavlovs puck seeing Feds on D in OT. I wonder if we will have more Feds on D in game 6. Maybe on the PK he will have Flash and Feds on D.

Angrily joking aside, someone needs to slow down their Kozlov, Fedetanko. He got 10 shots last game. Maybe we can assign Kozlov to shadow him since he has been invisible lately. Bruce loses some of our home ice advantage refusing to match our best defensive forwards against their top guns.

I would dress Brash. He was a fixture in our lineup all year that got us into 2nd place. We need a shakeup and no one shakes opponents like he can.

Amen. And it may force Bylsma's to dress Godard and disrupt his very effective lineup in the process.

Please tell me there are Caps fans on these boards who agreed to the non-call, because it was the right one.

No, calling interference would be the right call:

Quote:
56.2 Minor Penalty - A minor penalty shall be imposed on a player or goalkeeper who interferes with or impedes the progress of an opponent who is not in possession of the puck.

You call that little bump-in an interference? It's not like he had a hold on him trying to chase the puck… he was hardly in the play as the puck was shot hard around the boards on its way to a Penguin player nontheless. I see what you're saying though… I just get the sense that Gordon was mostly out of balance more than Boucher taking him down. The referees added those factors together and made the right call.

edit: the out of balance part: watch gordon just after the contact and between his fall. as he delays for almost a second before he actually falls down… you see motion clearly slowing down, as if he just about gained his balance but then lost it.
