Again, it's crazy how much the 2 NHL and AHL series have paralleled each other.
OT: in other AHL series, Milwaukee didn't want their season to end, a 7-0 win to send that series to a game 7, too; not new, but it is interesting to see Milwaukee with the playoff addition of Smolinski; and Houston adding Hrkac late in the regular season
yup, Hrkac was signed to an SPC before the CDR was submitted; Smolinksi is playing on a PTO; also, interesting because Hrkac last played for Milwaukee before and during the lockout and is a coach for a Div III team in Wisconsin
Is there any chance in hell that Game #7 of Bears/Baby Pens are on TV in the Washington area tonight? If so where?
not on tv anywhere, but you can watch on your computer; Hershey does not televise Bears games and I don't believe WBS is televising this game anywhere either.
Video online: www.ahllive.com; three options:a per game charge, a series charge or an all playoff game option; I believe the 1 game price is $8, which is pretty crazy, but that is what it is
browsed the thread, didnt see much mention of Carlson so i'll just ask: how has he looked at the AHL level (playoffs no less)?
my favorite prospect, really hoping he continues to leap into higher leagues and play well.
I've posted a few comments about him, including the couple of games I saw in person if you scan back at a few of my posts. And poster DefenseDotCom, commented after his first and second games, IIRC.
someone posted this in Walton's blog comments...given the comments on this game and goal in today's coverage of G7, I thought it was worth posting here...such a fun game to be at that night
Funny, I had no intention of posting during the game tonight and then Aucoin scores a goal 50 seconds into the game...and here's a post...Let's Go Bears! Bears on the PK to end the 1st and start the 2nd. In the 2nd, a nice hit by Patrick McNeill on Lovejoy. After the 2nd goal, Pinizzotto with a shift with a couple of big hits and then breaks his stick when Joudrey sets him up with a nice pass.
1. HER Aucoin, (2) (Giroux, Mink), 0:50
2. HER Bourque, (2) (Aucoin, Giroux), 4:54 (PP) (originally credited to Giroux, changed to Bourque with the tip)

Given his play this series and the comments and coverage out of WBS, I had to laugh to see Pinizzotto score on the 2 on 1. His 3rd of the playoffs (also, makes up for the broken stick on that earlier play.) Nice play by Reid for a third straight game, too. No surprise that they are going after Pinizzotto; hopefully, he is ok.
...Bears on the PP killing off time; PP over; still up 3-0...Go Bears!
