Something to do in the off-season...Vote for the Flyers Goal of the Year

Noticed this on the Flyers OTF Twitter. Thought everyone would be interested. I'd put it in the 17th OBT but I bet it would get overlooked, and I'm sure there's gonna be a shortage of new threads outside of the 5,000 we're bound to get from Toronto fans asking what we would give for Kaberle.

Enjoy:

The 10 goals are posted on the page, there's a "Click here" link at the top where you can go vote.

P.S. I voted AshamWOW.

Have to say I liked the last one by Gagne, although what made it nice was the patience by Giroux to go back around the net and make that impossible pass.

The Powe diving tip was pretty sweet too.

I was actually stuck between those two and the Asham goal. Powe's deflection was a beauty. And Giroux got all the credit on the feed to Gagne and rightfully so.

The Jones OT goal against Boston could be a candidate, too.

Of all, I think Asham's was the prettiest but Richards' 3-on-5 would get my nod.

I can't give him credit on a flubbed shot. It was a big goal, but a big fluke.

Gagne from Giroux wins for me. Giroux completely fooled everybody and Gagne finished it off with a nice quick shot. I hope to see those two together next year. Giroux's playmaking with Gagne's finishing ability would be a wonderful combination.

Richards' 3-on-5 shortie wasn't very pretty, but it's an awesome goal because of its rarity and it exemplifies how productive the Flyers were on the PK.

Depends how you want to define - 'goal of the year'.

To me, that doesn't necessarily mean the prettiest.

- Carters 3rd goal giving him the hatty.
- Jones shushing the Bruins fans.
- Richards 3-on-5 shorty.

...in no particular order.

Edit: This thread needs a poll, but I'm too lazy tonight. Maybe I'll add one tomorrow.

My favourite didn't make the top 10 - the OT winner vs Tampa in December. Timonen's amazing pass to Richards.

So based on these, I liked Asham's.

QFT!!! Kimmo's no look backhand'er complementing Richard's one timer that seeks top corner, good call CG.

That was definitely one of my favorites. Just how Kimmo knew EXACTLY where Richie was and the blistering shot to the exact corner of the net that followed, not to mention it being in OT...Amazing.

Favorite goal of the year was definitely Giroux to Gagne, though. Maybe because I was there, maybe because I love G, maybe because it was against the Pens. Regardless of the reason, that was just one of the best goals I've ever seen.

EDIT: And yes, I know I just extremely bumped this thread...Maybe it serves me right for being gone so long.

Double Edit: Hm, I saw 3 of the 10 live, that makes me happy.
