i would love to see an original 6 cup final, but the habs would have to be there! lol

Habs-Wings
Habs-Hawks

for this year it would be:
Hawks-Canes

I stacked my playoff pool with players from both sides hoping for the best and if they made it there it would all but clinch the pool and the cash for me

Chicago vs Boston would be my favorite. It doesn't even matter that they are both still in the playoffs, my favorite team in the east vs my favorite team in the west, couldn't get much better than that.

This season...Pittsburgh-Chicago

The Penguins for obvious reasons and the Hawks are probably my third favorite team in the NHL. The only match-up better for me would be Pittsburgh-Edmonton...I've kinda adopted Edmonton half-assedly as my 'western team' since I visited there over Spring Break.

If the wings don't make it, I would love to see Pittsburgh make it again only to be beaten by Chicago.

Sens vs whoever they could beat in the finals

or

Sens vs Oilers - only cause I'm living near-ish Edmonton now...

as for whose left

i think any combination of whose left would be good

if i had to pick

Hawks - Canes

We have a first Folks....

"Edmonton" and "I visited there over Spring Break" said in the same sentence.

I see your from MT though, so I guess that makes sense. I love MT, I spent the summer of 2007 in Libby.

My personal favorite in any season would be Islanders vs any western team (Although preferrably the Oilers). I would also like:

Kings vs Bruins. The classic inter-city rivalry, on ice.

Predators vs Panthers. Just for the sake of seeing two relatively young expansion teams pit against each other in the finals.

Choosing from the teams that are currently left in the playoffs, I'd want Hawks/Ducks vs Caps.

Leafs vs. Habs somehow. It's happened before!

Favorite possible series would be Leafs vs. Wings because I hate the damn Wings.*

*Possible as in theoretically possible.

Edit: Possible now, Ducks versus Bruins/Caps.

of the remaining teams, I would say Hawks vs Bruins. Two original 6 teams with 48 and 37-year Cup droughts.

Besides Edmonton Calgary because its impossible, I suppose Edmonton Boston or Edmonton Montreal because of histories between the teams and classic 80s Finals matchups. Even though I've already said 3 I'll add Edmonton Pittsburgh because of the Pens star power, and because its a long overdue finals matchup, never did happen back in the day.

battle of the bird
both wear black and gold
Getzlafs chance to prove he's as good as the big two
With guys like Cooke and Perry you can be sure the games will be chippy.
Bylsma was a former duck
Whitney was a former penguin
Kunitz was a former duck
two of the top d in the world vs two of the top forwards
the battle of crappy secondary scoring

This season- Boston vs. Detroit: 2 original 6 rivals going at it.

All-Time: 1995-1996 Detroit Red Wings vs. 1955-1956 Montreal Canadiens

Best for the league would be Chicago vs either of the poster boys, Bruins fans have already jumped back on the bandwagon anyway.

My favorite games to watch, ever.

Right now, probably Wings/Caps.

Kings vs. Canadiens

Kings blow out Canadiens 97-0 every game.
