Nabokov

What would you give up for him in terms of picks and prospects?

I'd give you Lupul and that's about it. 1 year of Nabokov simply isn't worth giving up any significant players or prospects especially when you have a much much better Khabilulin sitting out there as a UFA this off-season whom has actually WON something and can be had without giving up any assets. Add to it that he won't cost much more than Nabokov and Nabokov doesn't have much trade value.

Nabokov 5 years younger than Khabibulin. I personally dont like Nabokov but he is definately better than him. That statemant lost your credibility.

5 years? Nabokov is about to turn 34 and Khabibulin just turned 36.

And you do know that these 2 guys are just days away from being EXACTLY 2 1/2 years apart, not 5. I guess YOU lose all credibility for a 2nd time when you make stupid statements like this and don't even know the ACTUAL ages of the players you are commenting on. I think YOU should avoid saying anyone else "loses all credibility" on statements they make when you make bold faced lies like this that can be easily proven wrong. I mean hell, you cant even chalk this kind of a mistake up to a rounding error, you blew it by 2 and a half years, you made it TWICE what it actually is. That makes you look pretty foolish.

Nabakov was injured, pulled hip flexer. He's been solid every other year. People are just blowing it out of proportion.

If he's guilty of anything it's playing when he shouldn't have. He was clearly too injured and he hurt his team for it.

I'd take Nabby healthy over Khabi healthy any playoffs. Just a bad string of really crappy circumstances this year for the Sharks.

Wow Thorntonfan, you really just did that to yourself....d'oh.

Oh well you're a Sharks fan, so you know the drill (there's always next thread).

As to the original question, Lupul, or 3rd 09 and a prospect other than JVR.

I don't see the Sharks trading Nabokov even if he waives his NTC unless they can find an upgrade out there. There are a few flash-in-the-pan goalies out there but there isn't really any big ticket players out there.

Khabi is in a contract year, of course he is playing well. Hopefully Nabby realizes that he is in one next year and plays great

Ok first of all CALM DOWN please. Second, I definetly say nabbys better than khabibulin tho. From career record and stats to all star appearances, it all favors Nabby. If u haven't been paying attention, even Chicago fans are complaining about khabi and his stats this year. Khabi has had great goal support this playoffs and nabby has had none. It is completely unfair to judge nabbys 8 yr career on 6 games.
