Uh, no. One word for you...consistancy. Two good years of Vinny doesn't equate to being better overall than a guy that brings it to the table year-in and year-out like Kovalchuk does. So, turn it around on you, your comment doesn't make any sense..at all.

I wouldn't go that far, EVERY team wants a Vinny Lecavalier. The problem is that Lecavalier would not be an intelligent acquisition for the Kings once you take eveything else into consideration.

Yeah I guess being about 60% for two seasons and still putting up better numbers then 75% of the league is pretty bad.

Id take vinny at 60% over kovalchuk at 100%.

Then so be it. Why are you trying to Vinny to LA then? Keep him. I think we'd trade for Kovy, before we'd trade for Vinny.

1) We have enough centers.
2) In case you haven't heard, the Kings are in need of goal scoring wingers, especially from the left side.

Im fine with keeping Vinny. But if we can get a good package for then great.

If number 2 of your post is the case than obviously it doesnt work. But from other trade threads I was under the impression it was a sniper center. If not no problem.

I think I remember reading some Kings fan say 'sniper center'.

Tis not true for most of us.

There is a reasonably large contigent that wants to get rid of one of Stoll or Zus for a 2nd line center that can put up 60ish points, but the overwhelming majority of Kings fans want a LW sniper, or really, a LW goal scorer in general, whether it be a gritty Knuble or hopefully a flashy Gaborik or Havlat (though I never saw Havlat as a real possibility).

At the end of the season, our own players were quoted as saying they hope management acquires some help on the left side.

The Kings want a Lecavalier type of player on the roster...just a cheaper version of him... Perhaps half or lower in price per season would do it...

Good luck finding one of those. You think a player of Vinnie's caliber would be available with a $3.8M cap hit or $5M salary thru their mid 30's. 33-36 y.o. is not old except on this web site. Point is you aren't going to get the player you're asking for on your terms.

We can DRAFT one...

I've been told that I pinch pennies so hard that you can hear Lincoln cry uncle...so I probably wouldn't be a good candidate for the GM position for the Kings...

Too many centers. If the Kings want to get someone of Vinny's calibur, they're going to have to move Stoll (or, gasp, Kopitar) to even begin to make room. I don't think we're going to consistently play Stoll or Handzus on the 4th line.
