Being a Sabres fan, I must ask, why will Sullivan thrive in Buffalo? I don't know anything about him other than his injury-proneness. I also agree that Cole will remain in Carolina. Always has had good chemistry with Staal. Traded and now traded back. I can see him as a Hurricane for the rest of his career. Carolina's in the conference finals now and I don't think they move him no matter how much farther they go. If they don't win it all this year they can resign him and have him for more full seasons. Edmonton didn't work out and I don't think he wants to go anywhere else.

Definitely can see Moen as a Leaf. Same with Pahlsson but I think the Hawks will resign him. I'm kind of hoping Marchant comes to Buffalo where he is from. The Niedermayers are staying in Anaheim IMO.

Erik Cole has not had any goals this playoff season and if you have watched any of the Hurricanes games Staal and Cole have had no chemistry together on Staal line it is Whitney and Walker Cole is playing the fourth line. I think Cole would like to test the open and see how much he can get on the open market I think he will want to see what teams are offering then what Hurricanes are offering him and it is not that hard to move a family during the summer then during the season so that is why I predict Cole will not resign with the Hurricanes.

Also the Hurricanes have Scott Walker who plays a simllar game as Cole and I think the Hurricanes replace Cole with Scott Walker.

I think Cole wants to play somewhere else.

Also Cole would have tons of sucess somewhere else excepet for Edmonton.

Also Cole and Staal have not had good chemistry together at all this year the Hurricanes have Walker and Whitney playing on a line with Staal Staal Walker and have been having good chemstry so I think the Hurricanes are going to let Cole walk on July 1st.

My choice out of that list I would like to see Bryan Murray sign is Erik Cole if Cole hits the open market I think if Murray is able to get Cole I think it would put back in the top 6 in the Eastern Conference.

I predict that Erik Cole will hit the open market and sign somewhere not in Carolina!
dont the sens already have a madden-esque player in chris kelly?

Some of you guys don't even mention the Kings making a splash in free agency, are you guys delusional? Finally we have a team set and all we need is a top sniper UFA, and you guys don't even mention the Kings going after Gaborik or Hossa or Havlat, are you kidding me? The Kings will sign one of those 3 guys, most likely Marian Gaborik and will get Alex Tanguay too.. Tomas Kopecky is an UFA too, not that many of you care, but the Kings will sign him too..

Khabibulin is not coming to LA, since we have absolutely no need for goaltending.. thanks

So Pittsburgh signs nobody and the Canadian teams dominate every FA? Alright.

How much do you (or others) figure Moen is going to cost? Length of contract?

I'd like him as a replacement for Axelsson as a 3rd line LW and good penalty killer (if Axe doesn't return)

His cap number is/was .912

Might he cost like 1.2 or 1.3 million?

Well we now can cross off Kozlov because he is out of the picture. I say Moen gets around 1.2. He's a good third liner and PK'er.

With this Heatley trade business going down Ottawa could be down a LW. But still, I think Cole stays in Carolina. Yet again, he was quiet in the playoffs, maybe they let him walk.

Robert Scuderi
Mathieu Garon
RFAs
none
That's a somewhat failed list . Zigomanis is an UFA, as is Ben Lovejoy in Wilkes Barre and Goligoski is RFA. All those three are very likely to be part of the team next season. Pesonen is UFA too and its up in the air (depending on camp and other signings) with him.
Other than that Shero will certainly give Scuderi an offer, but he might have priced himself out with his playoff performance. He has been huge, but he is still a very limited player... heart and soul in spades though he has. If he leaves we need a cheap Scuderi (strong PK'er) who hasn't proven himself yet.
Fedotenko and Guerin at least seem likely to 'get the chance' to give a discount and stay on. We need to sign two or three players for the top6 on the cheap. Hopefully there are good players outthere who will put winning first and take short term contracts to have the chance.
Adams might stay if he stays at his current salary. The rest are goners, I think.
