Vityaz and Khimik out, Avto and Gazovik - in

Per allhockey.ru

http://www.allhockey.ru/news/53332/

Gazovik in the league - is a new development.

This is better for the KHL, IMHO: they have much more money than Khimik and Vityz, interest and fanship in both cities is much more

Both cities are much larger than the ones leaving - bigger markets. Tyumen has a new arena

But Gazovik, the name

What will happen to players like Simon, and Vasiliev. Even Kuchin, will these guys get picked up by KHL teams? I don't know how transfers work in this situation but I can't see some of the better players for Vityaz playing in the 2nd league.

Sverdlovsk...ehhhm.. Yekaterinburg deserves to have a team in the KHL. They are a big city with and those Ural fans love hockey.

Personally i don't think Gazovik is a bad name. Sounds pretty cool in my opinion. No worse then the Blues or Avangard.

I personally dislike all "professional" names, Oilers, Steelers, Energi, Khimik, Gazovik - all this stuff. If you don't think "avangard partii", then Avangard is OK

Gazovik was actually mentioned in the beginning of last season, I thought I wrote about it in the "where will the KHL expand" thread. Avto - hope they find some money. Vityaz' and Khimik are up in the air. But who was claimed by Khimik during the redraft is going to end up in SKA, if Khimik was to stay they'd cling to one good player they managed to put their hands on, am I wrong?

Avto for Khimik is confirmed, now hopefully Gazovik will take Vityaz's place
